Why Tim Cruz Hasn't Dropped the Lindsay Clancy Case Yet Sep 11, 2026
    Show notes

A jury could not convict Lindsay Clancy, and District Attorney Tim Cruz has not dropped the case, has not announced a retrial, and has not offered a plea in public. Eric Faddis, defense attorney and former prosecutor, joins Hidden Killers Live to explain what is happening inside that office.

The mistrial came September 4, 2026, after 38 hours of deliberation over seven days. Kevin Reddington says the jury split 11-1 for not guilty. Cruz's response was that the facts are Lindsay Clancy killed her three children, the evidence suggested she was in control of her actions, and the case is the cruel and calculated killing of three innocents. He said he has not decided on a second trial. The next hearing is September 29.

The state's evidence of planning was a timeline. A 4:13 p.m. Apple Maps search for a Plymouth restaurant on January 24, 2023. A takeout order Lindsay placed at 5:10 p.m. Patrick Clancy leaving to pick it up at 5:54 p.m. Prosecutors said she was clearing the house. The defense said postpartum psychosis and conceded she caused the deaths. The jury could not agree on criminal responsibility.

Tony asks Eric the questions the chat is already fighting over. What went wrong for the state? Did first-degree murder ask too much of a jury looking at a mother in psychiatric crisis? Can the expert testimony be fixed? At what point does an elected DA say the county cannot do this again? And does Patrick Clancy, whose attorney says another trial would be extraordinarily painful for him, get a vote?

Lindsay Clancy is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Cora, Dawson, and Callan. She remains at Tewksbury Hospital.

Kevin Reddington Said WHAT About Lindsay Clancy and Jail?! Sep 11, 2026
    Show notes

After a jury could not convict Lindsay Clancy, her attorney told a national audience what he will and will not accept from the state. Eric Faddis, defense attorney and former prosecutor, joins Hidden Killers Live to break down Kevin Reddington's post-mistrial playbook.

Judge William Sullivan declared the mistrial on September 4, 2026, after 38 hours of deliberation. Reddington says the jury was 11-1 for not guilty. He then went on Good Morning America and asked President Trump to consider a pardon, a request he knows the president cannot grant in a state case. He told CBS Boston the goal was to seek Trump's help and described DA Tim Cruz as a hard-charging conservative he hopes will reconsider. On a plea, he said: "I would not plead Lindsay Clancy to a day in jail." On September 29 he will ask the judge for a required finding of not guilty, which means a ruling that the evidence was too weak to convict.

Tony asks Eric what the audience wants to know. What is a pardon request to Washington supposed to do to a county DA? Is a public no-jail promise a bluff or real leverage after an 11-1 split? What are the two sides actually saying to each other? Why file a motion judges rarely grant? And if prison is off the table, how does a defense lock in psychiatric care without a guilty plea?

Lindsay Clancy is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the January 2023 deaths of her three children. She is held at Tewksbury Hospital. DA Cruz has not decided on a retrial, and his office had no comment on Reddington's statements.

Patrick Clancy's Lawyer Demanded WHAT From the Conspiracy Accounts?! Sep 11, 2026
    Show notes

The warning went out on September 8, 2026, and it was aimed at the accounts that spent months claiming Patrick Clancy had something to do with his own children's deaths. Eric Faddis, defense attorney and former prosecutor, joins Hidden Killers Live to explain what that warning means for the people it was written to.

Patrick's attorney, Howard Cooper, calls it a "relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign." His statement says the claims are outright falsehoods and that the people spreading them appear to be doing it for followers. It says every appropriate measure will be pursued to hold them accountable, including legally. It closes with four words that change the stakes for anyone posting under a screen name: law enforcement has been notified.

Tony asks Eric the questions the audience is already asking. Can a lawyer actually find out who is behind a TikTok or Reddit account? At what point does a hot take become defamation a court will punish? What does an influencer have to turn over once they get sued? When does a smear campaign become a crime instead of a lawsuit? And if Patrick's team wins against a few of the biggest names, does this corner of true crime finally change?

Patrick Clancy testified as the prosecution's first witness at the trial of his former wife, Lindsay Clancy, who was charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the January 2023 deaths of their three children. The jury deadlocked after 38 hours and the judge declared a mistrial on September 4, 2026. Whether there will be a second trial is now up to Plymouth County DA Tim Cruz.

Lindsay Clancy: What the Mistrial Unleashed Against Patrick Sep 11, 2026
    Show notes

The Lindsay Clancy mistrial was declared September 4 after the jury split eleven to one. Three days later, the courtroom was empty and the damage was everywhere else.

A man canceled a $200,000 wedding on TikTok because his fiancée expressed sympathy for Lindsay. He called her a monster in front of four million people. TikTok and Instagram creators accused Patrick Clancy of being the real killer using astrology and trial footage while the jury was still deliberating. Lindsay admitted through her defense that she killed the children.

On September 8, Patrick's attorney Howard Cooper released a statement calling the accusations a defamation campaign and confirming law enforcement has been notified. Lindsay's own attorney Kevin Reddington, asked about the conspiracy theories, praised internet investigators' ability to "ferret out facts."

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott sits down with Tony Brueski for the full interview. Why the case is destroying relationships. How a grieving father became a TikTok suspect. What Reddington's comments did to the conspiracy. And why the fear underneath the Clancy rage is one most people watching refuse to confront.

The Clancy Case Is Testing Every Mother Watching — Most Won't Say Why Sep 10, 2026
    Show notes

Six weeks of testimony. Thirty-eight hours of deliberation. Eleven jurors believed Lindsay Clancy was not criminally responsible due to postpartum psychosis. One did not. The mistrial was declared September 4.

The case is over. The fear it exposed isn't.

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott, author of Nightbird, joins Tony Brueski for a conversation about what the Lindsay Clancy trial is actually testing in the people watching it. Why mothers are recognizing something in this case they've never talked about. Why the word "monster" is a psychological shield and not a conclusion. Why the public treats a brain illness differently from a heart attack when both can end lives.

Shavaun addresses the woman listening right now who experienced frightening thoughts after having a baby and has never told her partner, her doctor, or her closest friend. When the public conversation around this trial turns compassion into a character flaw and honesty into a risk, she explains what that silence means for the next mother in crisis.

The trial asked whether Lindsay understood what she was doing. This conversation asks whether the rest of us understand what we're doing to each other.

Lindsay Clancy's Attorney Said THIS About Patrick After the Mistrial Sep 10, 2026
    Show notes

After Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy case on September 4, a reporter asked defense attorney Kevin Reddington about the conspiracy theories accusing Patrick Clancy of being the real killer. Reddington said he "certainly doesn't dismiss" the internet investigators and praised their ability to "ferret out facts." When the reporter pointed out that Patrick has been accused of his own children's deaths, Reddington replied "not by me."

Four days later, Patrick's attorney Howard Cooper released a statement calling the online accusations a "relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign" driven by influencers and conspiracy theorists. Cooper confirmed law enforcement has been notified and warned that legal consequences will follow.

Lindsay admitted through her defense that she killed the children. The trial's only question was criminal responsibility. Patrick testified as the prosecution's first witness.

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott joins Tony Brueski to examine what a defense attorney's refusal to shut down a conspiracy does to the person it targets, how false accusation becomes a business model on social media, and what happens to Patrick Clancy's ability to grieve when the internet turns his life into content.

Lindsay Clancy: Why One Couple Couldn't Survive Disagreeing About Her Trial Sep 10, 2026
    Show notes

The Lindsay Clancy mistrial left the legal question unresolved — and the personal ones got worse. A man claims he ended a $200,000 engagement after his fiancée expressed sympathy for Clancy and told him he would never understand postpartum illness. He put the breakup on TikTok and called her a monster. Four million people watched and picked sides.

The jury heard six weeks of evidence and couldn't reach a verdict after thirty-eight hours of deliberation. People at home are ending relationships over the same question in a single conversation.

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott, author of Nightbird, joins Tony Brueski to examine why the Clancy case turns disagreement into a verdict on someone's character, why grief and compassion have become mutually exclusive in this conversation, and what happens to mothers right now who are afraid to admit what they recognize in Lindsay's story.

The mistrial sent the jury home. It sent the rest of us to war.

What Lindsay Clancy’s Mistrial Opened for Her Case Sep 10, 2026
    Show notes

The mistrial did not end Lindsay Clancy’s legal fight. It expanded it. The criminal case is now frozen while DA Timothy Cruz decides on a retrial. Two civil lawsuits against the same medical providers are moving forward. And the defense is already setting the terms for a second trial — sequestration, a tainted jury pool, and a prosecution strategy that reportedly alienated eleven of twelve jurors.

Clancy had pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. The jury split eleven to one after seven days. The prosecution argued her injuries were insincere. The defense argued postpartum psychosis.

Bob Motta of Defense Diaries covers the deadlock mechanics, the civil malpractice claims, and the strategic battles that will define the next phase of this case.

What Lindsay Clancy’s Jury Heard About Her Injuries Sep 09, 2026
    Show notes

Prosecutors argued to the jury that Lindsay Clancy’s fall from a second-story window was not sincere and that her injuries were superficial. Clancy, paralyzed and in a wheelchair, sat in the courtroom as the state made that case.

The characterization was part of the prosecution’s theory that the killings of Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, were premeditated and that Clancy staged the scene to support an insanity defense. The defense argued the fall was a genuine psychotic act.

The jury deadlocked eleven to one. Reddington filed an emergency petition with the state supreme court. It was denied. A woman was arrested for filming jurors. Sullivan declared a mistrial. And Reddington has already said he wants the next jury sequestered.

Bob Motta of Defense Diaries examines the prosecution’s strategy, the emergency legal filings, and whether a retrial can produce a different result under the same insanity standard.

What Lindsay Clancy Was Prescribed in the Weeks Before Sep 09, 2026
    Show notes

At least nine psychiatric medications in the months before her children died. Eight of them prescribed in a three-week window. No coordinated care plan between providers. That is what the lawsuits filed by both Patrick and Lindsay Clancy allege against the doctors, nurse practitioners, and health systems that treated her.

Lindsay’s own lawsuit alleges she was suffering from undiagnosed Bipolar I disorder with postpartum onset and that her providers’ uncoordinated prescribing caused the psychotic break. The criminal trial at Plymouth Superior Court ended in a mistrial with the jury deadlocked eleven to one.

Dueling psychiatric experts at trial gave the jury irreconcilable testimony about her mental state. The prosecution’s experts said she appreciated what she was doing. The defense’s experts said psychosis made that impossible.

Bob Motta of Defense Diaries examines the medication timeline, the civil lawsuits, and why the medical system’s role in this tragedy may only get a full hearing in a malpractice courtroom.
