JP Miller's Federal Case from Every Angle — A Prosecutor Breaks It All Down Sep 19, 2026
    Show notes

Who helped JP Miller? How does his defense team plan to fight? And how does the Department of Justice plan to win? Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins Tony live for a three-part breakdown of the entire federal case.

Miller faces charges of cyberstalking and making false statements stemming from alleged harassment of Mica Miller from November 2022 until her death in April 2024. The indictment details tracking devices, daily contacts exceeding fifty, financial interference, a PI contract, tire damage, and an intimate image posted online. When agents asked about the PI, prosecutors say Miller told them it was to prevent Mica from buying firearms. The government says that was a lie. Miller has pleaded not guilty, denies the allegations, and is not charged in Mica's death. She was thirty, filed for divorce two days before dying, and her death was ruled a suicide. He faces up to seven years combined. Trial is October 2026.

Segment one covers the alleged enablers — the inner circle who allegedly carried out physical tasks while Miller stayed insulated. They may carry more direct legal risk than he does. Segment two covers the defense strategy — the "concerned husband" reframe, the mental health gambit, the false statements problem, and the jury selection nightmare. Segment three covers the prosecution's playbook — turning data into terror, shutting down victim-blaming, managing the media, and whether these charges are the endpoint or the pressure that cracks someone open.

What the DOJ Needs the Jury to Feel About JP Miller's Alleged Campaign Sep 18, 2026
    Show notes

Evidence proves facts. But federal prosecutors need something more from this jury — they need twelve people to feel the accumulated weight of what Mica Miller allegedly lived with for nearly two years. GPS tracking data on a spreadsheet doesn't do that. Fifty contacts in one day logged on a phone record doesn't do that. The prosecution has to turn the digital forensics into a lived experience the jury can't look away from.

Miller was indicted in December 2025 on one count of cyberstalking and one count of false statements to investigators. The alleged conduct spans November 2022 through Mica's death in April 2024. He has pleaded not guilty, denies the allegations, and is not charged in Mica's death. She was thirty, filed for divorce two days before dying, and her death was ruled a suicide. He faces a combined maximum of seven years. Trial is October 2026.

The prosecution's roadmap includes GPS records, purchase histories for a tire deflation device, phone records, PI invoices, and an intimate image posted without consent. The false statements charge adds what prosecutors say Miller told agents — that the PI was protection, not stalking. The government says that was a lie.

Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins Tony live to map the prosecution's strategy. How does the DOJ transform a pile of data into a felt experience of terror? How do prosecutors dismantle the "concerned husband" narrative before it takes hold? How do they handle the media saturation for an appeal-proof verdict? And do the charges represent the whole case — or is the real strategy to apply pressure until someone in Miller's orbit breaks?

How JP Miller's Team Plans to Spin the Federal Evidence Against Him Sep 18, 2026
    Show notes

Tracking devices. A hired private investigator. Fifty-plus calls in a day. Tire deflation devices bought online. An intimate image posted without consent. Federal prosecutors say all of it points to a calculated cyberstalking campaign. JP Miller's defense team has to make it point somewhere else.

Miller was indicted in December 2025 on charges of cyberstalking and making false statements to investigators. The alleged conduct ran from November 2022 through Mica Miller's death in April 2024. When agents asked about the PI, prosecutors say Miller claimed it was to prevent Mica from purchasing a firearm. The government calls that a lie. Miller has pleaded not guilty, denies the allegations, and is not charged in Mica's death. She was thirty and had filed for divorce two days prior. Her death was ruled a suicide. Trial is October 2026.

The defense playbook in a case like this typically starts with reframing intent. The same set of actions described as stalking by the prosecution gets described as a husband trying to protect a struggling wife. The mental health angle becomes the hinge — if the defense can make the jury see genuine concern instead of calculated control, reasonable doubt enters the room.

Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins Tony live to walk through the strategy. Where is the reasonable doubt? How does a defense team seat an impartial jury when the Netflix documentary has already told the story to millions? What is the biggest vulnerability in the government's case? And can the false statements charge be defended at all when the FBI has the interviews locked down?

JP Miller Kept His Hands Clean — His Allies Didn't Sep 18, 2026
    Show notes

JP Miller allegedly created degrees of separation between himself and the physical acts described in the federal indictment. Prosecutors say Mica Miller was tracked, contacted over fifty times in a day, had her tires damaged, and had an intimate image posted without consent. Court filings describe associates who allegedly carried out tasks while Miller allegedly stayed off camera.

Miller faces one count of cyberstalking and one count of making false statements to federal investigators, tied to alleged conduct from November 2022 through Mica's death in April 2024. He has pleaded not guilty, denies the allegations, and is not charged in Mica's death. She was thirty and had filed for divorce two days before. Her death was ruled a suicide. Trial is October 2026.

The alleged helpers are now running. South Carolina's lack of a coercive control statute limits what the state can pursue. But physical acts — placing a tracking device, following someone, making harassing contact — carry their own criminal exposure regardless of who gave the order. The person who allegedly executed the task left a trail the alleged orchestrator didn't.

Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins Tony live to examine the legal position for the alleged enablers. Faddis breaks down how investigators work inward from the helpers to the person at the center. Does the FBI offer immunity or threaten indictments? And what happens to former church members who are now more afraid of the government than they ever were of their pastor?

JP Miller Had 14 Months Before the Feds Charged Him — What He Did Sep 18, 2026
    Show notes

Mica Miller died in April 2024. The federal indictment didn't arrive until December 2025. Between those two dates, every structure around JP Miller collapsed — and he allegedly rebuilt on new ground before the government caught up.

Solid Rock Church was sold for $2.1 million. The congregation of seven hundred became fifteen. His closest allies issued public statements claiming distance. And in June 2025, Miller married for the third time — to a woman whose own first husband, a quadriplegic Army veteran, had drowned in a community pool four years earlier. That death was ruled accidental. His family has raised questions.

Miller faces one count of cyberstalking and one count of making false statements to federal investigators. Prosecutors allege he harassed Mica from November 2022 through her death — tracking devices, fifty-plus daily contacts, financial interference, and an intimate image posted without consent. Miller has pleaded not guilty, denies the allegations, and has not been charged in Mica's death. She was thirty and had filed for divorce two days before. Her death was ruled a suicide. Trial is October 2026.

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott joins Tony live for a three-part conversation. The enablers who allegedly helped track Mica and who scattered when the Netflix documentary reached tens of millions. The "carewashing" defense — prosecutors say Miller told agents tracking Mica was about protecting her. And the third marriage, barely a year after the second wife died, to a woman whose husband also died.

The alleged pattern didn't stop. It allegedly started over with new people.

JP Miller Married AGAIN — And His Third Wife's First Husband Also Died Sep 17, 2026
    Show notes

Two women connected to JP Miller lost their lives. Mica Miller — his second wife — died in April 2024, two days after filing for divorce. Her death was ruled a suicide. Chris Skinner — the first husband of the woman Miller would marry next — drowned in a community pool in September 2021. That death was ruled accidental. His family has publicly questioned the circumstances.

Miller faces federal charges of cyberstalking and making false statements to investigators, tied to alleged harassment of Mica from November 2022 through her death. The indictment describes tracking devices, fifty-plus daily contacts, financial interference, and an intimate image posted without her consent. He has pleaded not guilty, denies the allegations, and has not been charged in either death. His trial is scheduled for October 2026.

In June 2025, Miller married Suzie Skinner. Friends of Mica's alleged in the Netflix docuseries "Death of the Pastor's Wife" that Miller and Suzie were together before both spouses died. Miller denies the affair, claiming the relationship began in January 2025. Suzie's own sworn testimony in a separate civil matter reportedly places it earlier.

Today, Suzie leads worship at Miller's pop-up church gatherings — roughly fifteen people in temporary spaces — while he awaits his federal trial on bond.

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott joins Tony live to examine what clinical experience reveals about why alleged controllers reportedly race into new relationships, what vulnerability may draw someone into the orbit of a person facing federal prosecution, and what the pattern tells us about the cycle ahead.

JP Miller Claims Tracking Mica Was 'Protection' — The Feds Charged Him Sep 17, 2026
    Show notes

Federal prosecutors say JP Miller didn't deny tracking Mica Miller. They say he justified it. According to the charging documents, he told agents the surveillance was about protecting his estranged wife — from herself. The federal government charged him with cyberstalking.

Miller was indicted in December 2025 on two counts — cyberstalking and making false statements to federal investigators. The allegations cover November 2022 through Mica's death in April 2024. Prosecutors describe tracking devices, over fifty contacts in a day, financial interference, tire damage, and an intimate image posted without consent. Miller allegedly hired a private investigator and told agents it was to prevent Mica from buying firearms. Miller pleaded not guilty. He denies the allegations and is not charged in Mica's death.

Mica was thirty. She filed for divorce two days before dying. Her death was ruled a suicide. The federal trial has been pushed to October 2026 after multiple continuances.

Mica told police she was being tracked. She reported it. She asked for help. While she was reportedly in a mental health facility, her devices were allegedly taken. Nobody in a position of authority allegedly intervened on her behalf.

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott joins Tony live to dissect what clinicians call "carewashing" — how surveillance allegedly gets reframed as concern, why institutions accept it, and what the federal case says about the gap between protecting someone and controlling every part of her life.

Why JP Miller's Inner Circle Is Running Now That the Feds Are Watching Sep 17, 2026
    Show notes

Seven hundred members once filled Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach. Fifteen remain. The property has been sold for $2.1 million. The building is slated for demolition. And the people who once stood next to JP Miller every Sunday are now claiming they were never that close.

Miller faces federal charges of cyberstalking and making false statements to investigators, stemming from allegations that he harassed his estranged wife Mica Miller from November 2022 through her death in April 2024. The federal indictment details tracking devices, more than fifty daily contacts, financial interference, and an intimate image allegedly posted without consent. Miller has pleaded not guilty and denies the allegations. He is not charged in Mica's death, which was ruled a suicide. She was thirty years old and had filed for divorce two days prior. Trial is scheduled for October 2026.

Court filings describe congregation members who allegedly helped carry out the harassment Mica reported to police. None of them face charges. And now, with the Netflix docuseries "Death of the Pastor's Wife" reaching tens of millions of viewers, they are gone.

Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott joins Tony live to examine the clinical framework behind enabler behavior — why people in a controller's orbit allegedly participate, why they stay quiet while the target begs for help, and what triggers the stampede once institutions finally respond. The inner circle didn't scatter when Mica asked for help. They scattered when the FBI did.

Lindsay Clancy's Mistrial Proved THIS About How We Handle Maternal Mental Illness Sep 17, 2026
    Show notes

The Lindsay Clancy murder trial ended with an 11-to-1 split, a mistrial, and a system that reportedly had no tools to prevent the outcome. One holdout juror allegedly admitted reasonable doubt and refused to apply the court's instructions. Seven weeks of testimony, over 80 witnesses, and 38 hours of deliberation were erased on September 4.

Defense attorney Bob Motta joins the show to analyze the full scope of what the mistrial exposed. He starts with the jury room — what jurors have publicly described about the holdout's conduct, why the defense's emergency appeal to the Massachusetts SJC was denied, and what the legal system's inability to act reveals about how well-equipped it is to handle cases built on psychiatric evidence.

Motta moves to the legal maneuvering that followed. Reddington filed a Rule 25 motion on September 10, arguing the mistrial was not a manifest necessity and seeking an acquittal finding before the state can retry. The hearing is September 29. Reddington has publicly stated he won't accept prison time in any deal. Cruz has said only that his office will address the case at the appropriate time. Motta examines the power dynamic and where a realistic resolution might fall.

The conversation closes on the question the system is avoiding. Lindsay is reportedly paralyzed at Tewksbury State Hospital on suicide watch. Patrick Clancy faces the prospect of another extended trial. Eleven jurors reportedly accepted Dr. Resnick's testimony that Lindsay's psychotic state, not malice, drove her actions. Motta addresses whether the first-degree murder framework can process this kind of case — and what continued prosecution signals about the system's treatment of maternal mental illness.

Lindsay Clancy Retrial Serves THIS Purpose — and No One Wants to Say It Sep 16, 2026
    Show notes

The Lindsay Clancy mistrial reset the clock on a case that had already put Patrick Clancy, the families, and the public through seven weeks of devastating testimony. A retrial means all of it happens again — the 911 audio, the expert psychiatric analysis, the clinical descriptions of what happened to Cora, Dawson, and Callan — in front of a new jury that knows the last one split 11 to 1 against the prosecution.

Defense attorney Bob Motta joins the show to analyze what a second trial actually accomplishes. Lindsay Clancy is reportedly paralyzed and confined at Tewksbury State Hospital on suicide watch. Motta examines the practical difference between her current confinement in a secure psychiatric facility and a prison sentence — and whether that difference is large enough to justify the toll of another extended trial.

Motta also addresses the systemic failure this case exposes. Dr. Resnick's testimony at trial explained altruistic filicide — how severe postpartum psychosis can produce actions rooted in delusional protective impulses rather than criminal intent. Eleven jurors reportedly accepted that framework. The first-degree murder statute offers no graduated response for cases where the defendant's actions originated in a documented psychiatric crisis.

The conversation ends where the system doesn't want to go. If the state retries this case and loses, the prosecution spent enormous resources proving what 11 jurors already concluded. If the state retries and wins, the question is whether incarcerating a paralyzed, severely mentally ill woman in a prison instead of a psychiatric hospital serves anything beyond a conviction statistic. Motta addresses who a retrial is actually for — and what it tells the mothers who saw their own postpartum struggles reflected in this trial.
