Loving Your Humanity Part 2 Apr 20, 2021
    Show notes

Oh it's here! Part two of the Loving Your Humanity series. Danielle dives right in this week to share about the cross-pollination effect that takes place when we get good at self-compassion. When we get okay with our own mess, mistakes, emotions, imperfections, realness then we become that safe place for others and vice versa! If I'm holding myself to a standard of perfection, odds are I'm holding everyone else in my life to the same. So, what happens when I make a mess is what happens when others make a mess too: shame, punishment and distance. OOF. Want others to be safe, good with conflict, good at messy, human imperfection and real relationships? Spoiler alert: it's an inside job. Take 19 minutes (a quick drive to target, a morning cup of coffee or a walk around the neighborhood) and let's chat about it!

Loving Your Humanity Pt 1 Apr 06, 2021
    Show notes

Join Danielle this week as she unpacks what it means to be human! Ok so maybe not ALL of humanity wrapped up into one 17 minute bite-sized episode goodness -- but more of her journey into connecting to herself with both compassion and empowerment through weakness! Did you know you're human? Did you know you're weak? Or have you been airbrushing and stuffing the human parts for so long that you've forgotten? Fun fact, Jesus himself was human and in His humanity He showed us how to offer grace, compassion and connection to our ugliest and messiest parts! It's a journey for sure, but one that brings life, freedom and joy!

What Comes Up Must Come Out Mar 23, 2021
    Show notes

What is coming up for you in this season that you can't take with you into the next? If you're in a season that is bringing up some painful, ugly, messy, difficult stuff, chances are it's coming up to come out. Our natural bend may be to shove the difficult and painful stuff and keep moving without acknowledging the things that we need to be rid of in order to move into what's next! Danielle Stinespring shares this week about the season she finds herself in and how embracing your current season is actually the key to stepping into the next one!

These tools are incredible when used in relationships to children but we can absoluely apply the principles to our adult relationships as well! Take a listen and see what happens when "maybe so" is in your tool belt!

    Professional Fixers Aug 11, 2020
    Show notes

In my first ever chat-style episode, I sit down with one of my favorite people in the world to talk about how people are inherently good at fixing problems. But perhaps, this isn’t always a good thing! Join me and my first guest (who just so happens to be my husband, Andy) as we unpack why “fixing” isn’t always the best solution to a problem.

It's Not About What You Think It Is Aug 06, 2020
    Show notes

This week, we're diving in to look at how our surface response to things may not actually be what we're upset about... More often, our emotions are a clue of something else going on inside of us! Take a listen this week to find out why it's just not about what you think it is.

The Healthy Church Jul 28, 2020
    Show notes

This week, let's chat about why there's been all this focus on health and abundant living. Why am I so focused on these things? Why am I passionate about seeing you live an abundant life? Why does the church need to be having these conversations? Join me this week as I dive into all of the "why's" to what I'm doing here with the podcast and with the things that are "in the works"!

Am I Responsible for Their Emotions? Jul 21, 2020
    Show notes

We've spent a lot of time on emotional responsibility lately, but a recent conversation with a friend reminded me of a piece of this "responsibility puzzle" that I don't want you to miss. We know that our own emotions require our responsibility, but what about the emotions of someone else? Can't I manage those too? Is it possible for someone's anger/rage/fear/sadness/disappointment to be my responsibility or fault?
Join me this week as we discover the truth that we aren't responsible to manage anyone's internal world but our own AND aim towards the goal of relationship which is two free and responsible humans.

Why Obedience Isn't My Goal With My Kids Jul 14, 2020
    Show notes

    Wait. What?!?
Join me, Danielle Stinespring, while I unpack my actual goal with my kids and dive into how obedience as the goal can shift our priorities in a way that isn't even God-designed. And for you non-parents? As always, this parenting episode has implications for how we relate to God and to other's in our world!

Forgiveness; Letting Someone Off the Hook or Unlocking Your Own Freedom? Jul 07, 2020
    Show notes

We went through several working titles for this episode before settling on the above. A few of our favorites? "Oh Boy, It's a Doozy", "The Real 'F' Word" and "The One Where Danielle Attempts to Unpack the Weightiest Topic Yet".
This week on the Hey There Podcast, Danielle tackles a topic that probably needs more like 6 weeks to address adequately and fully. But what you can expect this week is two-fold. 1. Some serious myth-busting and 2. an honest look at one of Danielle's personal experiences with that "f" word. Are we actually steps away from unlocking our own freedom when we recognize the power of forgiveness and walk through it thoroughly, realistically, and vulnerably?
As mentioned in the episode, Nothing Hidden Ministries is a fantastic resource for relationship tools and you can find the Forgiveness Tool here: https://app.nothinghidden.com/tools/c/0/i/26211453/forgiveness
