Brett Rader and Danielle Gibson come to you Fridays during Big Brother & Survivor to make superficial judgements about strategy, showmances, Julie Chen’s wardrobe choices & Jeff Probst’s delicious reading of the Applebee’s menu.
The rest of the year they chat about TV, movies, offscreen drama between BB contestants and more.

Devens' backdoor plan on Rome worked in Week 2 of BB28 with a 12-1 vote against Florida's favorite loverboy. But his choice to pull down Lyric instead of Melody certainly was a less-than-efficient game move.
Brett & Danielle discuss Devens' potential strategy mistake in Week 2, Lyric's all-flirt strategy, Melody's lack of game, Drew's precarious place & more on a Week 2 recap.
Also on the show, your questions about catchphrases, BB Time Capsule voting, Young Sheldon doing the Wall Comp & more!

The first eviction of BB28 is in the books. Poor Ashley was sent home with a burger in her stomach, some memories and nothing else. Our season's Gen-Z queen was all sizzle and no steak.
Brett & Danille talk about Wednesday and Thursday night's episodes, the brewing Angela/Jason rivalry, the dynamics of the split house, whether we're experiencing FOUTTE 2.0 & more.
Our early morning correspondent Danielle talks about the late-night feeds, the current HOH's plan and what we expect to happen over the weekend.

It was a fun and informative first weekend of feeds, how about some more pod? Brett & Danielle check in on Monday night reacting to their first reactions of the live feeds. If Tuesday's Broveal was the first impression, and Thursday's premiere was the second impression -- call these our BB28 third impressions.
We run through each of the 17 houseguests and talk about where we place their games after two episodes and a full weekend of live feeds.

The BB28 premiere was...crazy, camp, messy and...good?! Brett & Danielle react to the absolute lunacy that was Thursday night's premiere episode, and they have to start with the end where Rachel Reilly was...thrown into a volcano by a velociraptor. Yes, that happened.
We break down why Big Brother's turn towards the absurd has resulted in some positive momentum for the series, go through each houseguest's intro package and discuss where in the game Angela, Rick & Dee will fit in as "returners" with non-standard "returner" baggage.
At the very end, a non-spoiler review of Olivia Wilde's excellent dinner comedy The Invite.

It is officially BB28 time on Hey Julie. Brett & Danielle are back to go through the bios of all 14 new houseguests...plus those three other ones that are (un)officially waiting in the wings.
We react to the new Big Brother Broveal on YouTube, Julie's odd house tour and our initial reactions to the new houseguests: who's cute, who's weird, who's come here to play, and who's already a shrinking violet.
Also we take your listener Qs about favorites, winner picks, California Pizza Kitchen & who we want to F, who we want to M and who we want to (satirically) K.

BB28 Silly Szn has completely taken over the blogosphere. A leaked Chinese language sales deck has thrown the BB universe into a tizzy. There are rumors of a partial returners cast. People are doing forensic research on IG posts. It's crazytown out there and nothing is confirmed. Brett & Dani open the pod talking about the final full week of BB28 rumors, all of which are completely unsubstantiated.
Later, we unexpectedly talk about a trio of media which all has a primary, or at least tangential, relationship to the Apple TV+ streaming service:
All of that, David Strathairn and your listener questions on today's Hey Julie.

Brett & Danielle are back for a little double feature-as-a-podcast episode, as they break down the 21st century Steven Spielberg bookends of Disclosure Day and A.I.: Artificial Intelligence.
First, they break down two trailers in Aaron Sorkin's The Social Reckoning and the whale-eats-man tale Whalefall.
For the rest of the show, they break down last weekend's sci-fi epic Disclosure Day, what worked about it and why audiences are seeming so split on it, particularly the film's final act.
In the second part of the double feature, Dani & Brett revisit A.I.: Artificial Intelligence, a completely insane movie that should not be viewed by parents OR children. I promise you, if you've never seen it, you'll have no idea where it's going.
Join us for a spoiler-iffic discussion of both films!

Brett & Danielle are back in what will be the first of a stretch of episodes without Big Brother or Survivor news. So it's a pop culture grab-bag day!
Brett chats about the puzzling conclusion of Euphoria, which re-centers the idea of who the stars of the show even are.
They both talk about the 2025 documentary Predators, which documents the NBC news program To Catch a Predator, its moral standing, its legal consequence and how the media landscape has reacted in the decades since its release.
Danielle breaks down her experience seeing Backrooms in theaters this week.
Also, we take a load of your questions including: F/M/K the colors of the rainbow!?!

Danielle & Brett break down Survivor 50's big Wednesday night finale and they can't start anywhere but Jeff Probst spoiling the results of the fire-making challenge in front of America. An iconic Survivor moment happening before our eyes in real time.
They chat through the entire three-hour show, but mostly the stupid stuff like: why did Aubry also win a car, is Joe the real winner because of his tall wife and why did Jonathan's brother dress like Mario?
Wrapping up the episode, Danielle chats a bit about the current Apple TV slate and Brett watched Project Hail Mary.
