Debbie Critchfield - Superintendent of Public Instruction Mar 27, 2024

Debbie Critchfield was elected Superintendent of Public Instruction in November 2022 and was sworn in on January 2, 2023.

Previously, she served as a seven-year member of the Idaho State Board of Education and was president during her final two years. Debbie was co-chair to Governor Little’s Education Task Force in 2019 and committee chair for Governor Otter’s Higher Education Task Force in 2017. She chaired the Re-Open Idaho Schools Committee in 2020 and was a member of the Governor’s K-12 Council.

Debbie was an elected school board member in Cassia County for ten years, five as board chair, and was on the executive committee of the Idaho School Boards Association. She is a former local library trustee and Oakley Valley Arts Council president.

She worked as the public information officer for Cassia School District for nine years, stepping down before her election as state superintendent.

A fourth-generation Idaho farm family, Debbie and her husband Dave live in Oakley, where they raised their four children. They have three grandsons.

Commissioner Beck was born in Rigby, Idaho, and was raised working the land as an Idaho potato farmer. He’s attended both Boise State University and Brigham Young University where he studied Real Estate Finance and Business. His professional experience includes working with several real estate and marketing firms.

As a husband, father, and grandfather, Commissioner Beck’s commitment to future generations of Idaho has not gone unnoticed throughout his career in public service.

His pledge to help all people has been a major component of his time as Ada County Commissioner. He believes that property taxes are too high and is working to address the issue by limiting government spending where appropriate.

Bring Our Troops Home is an organization composed of veterans of the Global War on Terror and their civilian allies who are dedicated to ending American involvement in our endless wars in the Middle East and bringing our troops home. We insist that the Constitution of the United States be respected and enforced, requiring a formal declaration of war by Congress before U.S. military forces are deployed into combat overseas. And we are committed to returning to a foreign policy befitting a limited government republic, one that puts “America First.”

To achieve these goals, Bring Our Troops Home will utilize public education, political action, and legislation, including passing “Defend the Guard” bills in state houses across the country.

Trevor A. Chadwick- Mayor of Star, Idaho Mar 06, 2024

Trevor A. Chadwick met his beautiful wife, Amber, in Star in 1993. Together in 1999, Trevor and Amber built their first house in Star. He graduated from Boise High School in 1989, attended Boise State University, and then decided to join the military.

Trevor has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with added emphasis in Human Resource Management and Marketing. Trevor is an Idaho Hunter’s Education and Idaho Bow Hunter’s Education Instructor and was named the 2014 Regional Instructor of the Year. Trevor is co-founder of the Youth Hunters of America, an organization that provides free hunting opportunities to kids in our community. Trevor was the President of West Valley Little League for over 8 years. He was also the assistant baseball coach at Cole Valley Christian High School.

Trevor and Amber have been married for 27+ years and have four children. All of their children attending Star Elementary, his daughter attended Washington State University, and his two sons graduated from Eagle High School with their professional technical certificate in welding. Their special angel baby, Brady, passed away in 1994. Trevor’s wife and children are his pride and joy. His hobbies include spending with his family in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and exploring all the beautiful places Idaho has to offer. Trevor has a passion for public service and loves actively participating in Star community events, and talking to residents.
