I See | Pastor Jeff Bucknam Aug 09, 2026

Show notes

A picture is worth a thousand words. Jesus knew that. He feeds five thousand hungry people — and then calls himself the bread of life. He meets a thirsty woman at a well — and offers her living water. He declares himself the light of the world — and then gives sight to a man who has never seen a single thing in his entire life.

That's where we are today in John chapter 9. And this story isn't just a miracle — it's an object lesson. A picture of what it looks like when someone moves from blindness to sight, from darkness to light, from not knowing who Jesus is to worshiping him.

We're going to follow two debates: one between Jesus and his disciples, and one between a formerly blind beggar and the most powerful religious leaders in Jerusalem. And by the end, you'll see that the man who couldn't see was never the one who was really blind.

We're in John 9:1–41, in our series Believe! The Gospel of John. Pastor Jeff Bucknam is preaching, and this is I See.

Let's get into it.

Counterfeit Faith | Pastor Jeff Bucknam Aug 02, 2026

Show notes

Have you ever been mistaken for someone you're not? Pastor Jeff Bucknam has, and it got him thinking about counterfeits. The kind that look convincing from a distance, but don't hold up on closer inspection.

That's exactly what Jesus is dealing with in John chapter 8. He's surrounded by people who have, in some sense, believed in Him. They followed Him. They used the right words. From a distance, it looked real. But Jesus isn't impressed by appearances — and in this passage, He draws a sharp and uncomfortable line between counterfeit faith and the genuine article.

And here's what makes this passage so unsettling: the people Jesus is talking to don't think they have a problem. They're confident they're on the right side.

We're in John 8:31-59 in our series Believe! The Gospel of John. This week Pastor Jeff Bucknam walks us through three facts about false belief — what it is, how to recognize it, and where it ultimately leads.

This is Counterfeit Faith. Let's get into it.

SImple Math | Pastor Jeff Thompson Jul 26, 2026

Show notes

Most of us think of faith as something complicated — too many questions, too much uncertainty, too much to figure out. But in John 8, Jesus lays it out in the plainest terms possible. There is a debt. There is a choice. And there is a cross that proves everything.
Today, Pastor Jeff Thompson opens John 8:21–30 and shows us that the gospel, at its core, is simple math. This is Believe! The Gospel of John.

Do You See? | Pastor Jeff Thompson Jul 19, 2026

Show notes

What do you do when the light is right in front of you — and you still can't see? In John 8, Jesus makes one of the most stunning claims in all of Scripture: I am the light of the world. But the people standing closest to Him walk away unchanged. Today, Pastor Jeff Thompson opens John 8:12–20 and asks the question the whole passage is built around: do you see? This is Believe! The Gospel of John.

The Glorious Church | Pastor Abiel Mir Jul 12, 2026

Show notes

Most of us come to Ephesians the way we'd enjoy a beautiful hotel room — we find our favorite truths, settle in, and feel at home. But Paul didn't write a room. He wrote a palace.
Today's guest speaker and Harvest church planter, Pastor Abiel Mir, pulls us back to see the whole thing: the King on the throne, His eternal purpose, and the Church He is building to display His glory to the watching world. This is The Glorious Church.

Where Does My Help Come From? | Pastor Christian Constante Jul 11, 2026

Show notes

We all hit moments when we look around and realize — we are in over our heads. The problem is too big, the burden too heavy, the road too long. And in those moments, the most important question you can ask is the one Psalm 121 opens with: where does your help come from? Today Pastor Christian Constante walks us through one of the most beloved psalms in all of Scripture — and the answer is better than you think.

Who Is This Man? | Pastor Jeff Thompson Jun 28, 2026

Show notes

Every crowd that encounters Jesus has to answer the same question — and it's not a comfortable one. In John chapter 7, the tension is rising. The religious leaders are threatened. The crowds are split. And in the middle of it all, Jesus stands up and makes an invitation that stops everything.
Today, Pastor Jeff Thompson takes us into John 7:32–52 and asks the question the whole passage is built around: Who is this man? This is Believe! The Gospel of John.

So Close, But So Far | Pastor Tommy Creutz Jun 21, 2026

Show notes

There's something uniquely heartbreaking about being close to Jesus — and still missing Him.
In John chapter 7, Jesus is surrounded by people: his own brothers, massive festival crowds, the religious elite. And yet, almost no one actually sees who He is. Some are calloused. Some are critical. Some are genuinely curious — and that last group is who this sermon is for.
Today, Pastor Tommy Creutz opens John 7 and asks the question that cuts to the heart of it: how close is close enough as we continue in the series, Believe! The Gospel of John.
