Change Is a Community Project (Part 2 ft. Rick Lundgren) Mar 31, 2025
    Show notes

This week, Wes, Sonia, and Noah are joined by Harvest elder Rick Lundgren as they discuss the second part of chapter 5, "Change Is a Community Project." Many of us tend to "individualize" our faith, treating community as a nice add-on but something that's not ultimately necessary. But the fact is that our life in Christ – and our pursuit of change through Him – is meant to be a corporate reality. Each of us has a personal, individual relationship with Jesus, but God's design and desire is that we live out this relationship in the context of Christ-centered community.

Married to Christ (Part 2 ft. Seth Jewell) Mar 17, 2025
    Show notes

This week, Sonia and Noah are joined again by Executive Pastor Seth Jewell as they tackle the second part of chapter 4, "Married to Christ." When we as believers remember our status as the bride of Christ, it totally transforms how we view the process and purpose of change. The way we become more like our Bridegroom is by holding fast to Him — and the more we hold fast to Him, the more we'll come to treasure Him.

Here's Where God is Taking You (Part 2) Mar 03, 2025
    Show notes

This week, Wes, Sonia, and Noah discuss the second part of chapter 3, "Here's Where God Is Taking You," in How People Change, by Timothy S. Lane and Paul David Tripp. Often, when we're longing for change, we look around in disappointment at "what is" in our lives and dream about "what could be," instead. As Lane and Tripp point out, frequently God works for our good not by changing our circumstances, but by changing us in the midst of our circumstances.
