Ep. 224: The Impending End of New Leaf's Online Mar 01, 2022

Show notes

Nintendo recently announced that the 3DS and Wii U eShops would be closing. With that news, we decided to take a look back at previous Animal Crossing titles' online functionality. Wild World and City Folk are no longer the same games since the online has been removed. We go over a lot of the features you can no longer experience because the online is gone. We then discuss what it would mean for New Leaf to lose online functionality. Animal Crossing was the 2nd Nintendo game to get online and it is interesting to see how it has affected their series. We end the show by asking our patrons what shop they would want to move from Harv's to the mainland.

Ep. 218: How Good is the New Horizons Soundtrack? Jan 18, 2022

Show notes

Animal Crossing's soundtrack is always a standout for players and many games are often nostalgic and special because of their music. How well does Animal Crossing New Horizons' soundtrack hold up to its predecessors? Well, a great survey run by our community member, Ganucci, got peoples' opinions on how they felt about each track. In this episode, we cover that survey and share the information discovered. We go through a lot of the music and discuss whether it was ranked appropriately. We also answer some interesting questions regarding the soundtrack as well. After that, we ask our patrons how they would rank each Animal Crossing game.
