- Balance Beam Final:
  - Sanne Wevers, the 24 year-old DJ Spindarella'd her way the title, Olympic Champion. Smart gymnastics and past teams who stood united against an abusive head coach, created a beautiful system where smart, elegant gymnastics has flourish.
  - Laurie Hernandez had a higher E score with only a little misstep on her dismount but couldn't match Sanne's innovation and big Dutch D.
  - Simone Biles now eclipses Shannon Miller's record with yet another Olympic medal on beam.
  - Grabbing the beam to prevent a fall is a .5 deduction.
  - Catalina Ponor wore the greatest leotard of all time.
  - Yes, you can wear a short sleeved leotard and have teammates as coaches on the floor for finals.
- Men'sVault Final:
  - Was this the ugliest form we've ever seen in an Olympic final or just an example of the problems with the vault code?
  - Ri Se Gwan, Denis Abliazin, Kenzo Shirai medaled , we explain the tie breaking procedure for vault.
  - Marian Dragulescu lost the tie breaker but thankfully wasn't deducted for doing gymnastics, "practicing" on the podium.
  - Igor Radivilov will have the handspring triple front named after him and we now hope that no one ever tries that vault again.
- Rings:
  - Jessica and Spencer basically fell asleep because it's the most boring even in the history of gymnastics but Uncle Tim does a good job of trying to make us appreciate it.
Our favorite and least favorite not-gymnastics moments:
- Sanne Wever's D score notebook
- Chris Books screams for Simone and Laurie.
- Everyone needs to calm down about the US women's team's non-gymnastics behavior. It's sexism.
- Why is Steve Penny still at the Olympics, sitting with families and chumming it up with athletes when USA Gymnastics accused of this and senators are asking for answers!

Each team's performances discussed in depth from elated medalists champions Japan, Russia to defeated suicide squad, China.
- Vault judges huge error/cheating 8.7 E score for Chopin. Are they cursed because they switched from Li Ning appare?
- Great Britan: even if Louis hadn't fallen on pommel horse it would have been close but they would have lost to China even if he had stayed on. They lost the bronze by 1.37 deficit. Every deduction counts. This wasn't a single gymnasts fault.
- Team USA does the usual Team USA with three major errors.
- Team Brazil performed great but didn't have the scoring potential to medal and seemed defeated after Sasaki's knee issues after high bar.
- Germany did great only .062 lower than their prelims score, even without Toba
- Ukraine gave us a collective WTF when they failed to compete 3 people on each event, even though they had four team members capable for doing all-around? We discuss their explanation which left us scratching our heads, possible conspiracy and revenge theories.
What won today, a huge D (difficulty score) or a sexy, slick E (execution score)?
- China had the highest average D score CHN - 6.622 but Olympic Team Champions Japan had the highest average execution scores: JPN: 8.633
Worst moment: Al Trautwig tweets about Simone's biological grandparents who adopted her when she was a toddler,"They may be mom and dad, but they are NOT her parents."

THIS WEEK'S INTERVIEW

Houry Gebeshian (pronounced "Hooty") made her first Olympics at age 27! She is a dual American-Armenian citizen and the first ever WAG Olympic gymnast for Armenia. As a University of Iowa gymnast, she completed the incredibly difficulty and time-consuming Bachelor's degree in athletic training, which requires hundreds of hours of internship. She became a certified athletic trainer (ATC). She now practices obstetrics as a physician assistant at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. The woman who delivers babies by day and is an elite gymnast by night has the perfect motto, "It's never too late to deliver a dream." Watch her Sunday August 7, at 10:30 am Eastern in Mixed Group 3 in Rio prelims. We discuss:

How she uses her ATC training to be in the best shape of her life at age 27.
What she thinks of two-a-day training, like the US elites system does.
Advice for gymnasts who want to grow a program in their ancestral country.
Why she is self-funded when the men's program is funded.
