Based in LA since 1981, Terry Wollman has forged a career spanning over 35 years as an in demand guitarist, music director, producer and composer.
He has worked with an amazing array of artists including Al Jarreau, Michael McDonald, Billy Preston, Wilson Phillips, Joan Baez, Joe Walsh, Keb' Mo and Joe Sample.
Terry has released seven full length solo albums. His latest instrumental release - No Problem - has topped the Billboard Smooth Jazz charts.
In this first instalment of a two part interview, Terry talks us through his early influences, how studying arrangement transformed him from a guitarist to a musician, building a career in LA in the early '80s, getting an impromptu (and unnecessary!) lesson from Lindsey Buckingham, and much more.

Michael Ibrahim is the 'MI' behind MI Audio, the Australian pedal and amp company that has found success all around the world.
Michael talks us through the inception of MI, starting with the iconic chrome Tube Zone inspired by the multi-dimensional drive tones of Allan Holdsworth.
MI Audio is perhaps best known globally for it's enormously popular - and often copied - Crunch Box and Super Crunch Box. Michael unpacks the evolution of this pedal, including the true story behind the internal presence trim pot found in the second run back in 2005. Michael also talks about the flood of blatant copies currently on the market by other companies.
Michael gives us the latest on the MI range of amps, why he loves to write epic manuals and what happened when Marshall wanted to acquire MI Audio.

Zakk Wylde rose to international prominence when he joined Ozzy Osbourne's line up for 1988's No Rest For The Wicked.
We talk to Zakk whilst on the road with Black Label Society - the band he formed and has fronted since 1998. Zakk talks us through the massive riffs on the latest BLS album Grimmest Hits, the inspiration behind starting his own line of guitars and amps and what it's like to be back working with Ozzy for a farewell tour.

Jack Jones (aka Irwin Thomas) is one of Australia's most beloved guitarists. Whilst his vocal chops brought him to prominence in Southern Sons in the early 1990s his sublime guitar phrasing, touch and tone were always close at hand.
Jack talks us through the making of 'California Dreaming', a new chart topping album with his longtime friend Rick Price. The record - recorded in Rick's Nashville - is an homage to the West Coast songbook and features stellar guitar moments amidst Jack and Rick's vocal collaboration.
