Brown-Panel Amps, A $2.7M Guitar, and the Battle for Rock's Soul Oct 28, 2025

Show notes

This week we're Dadding out over Orange's new King Comp compressor, celebrating the long-awaited Line 6 Stadium pre-orders, and diving into Fender's brown panel '62 Super reissue. In the news: Eddie Van Halen's Kramer ad guitar just sold for $2.7 million at auction, and Slash says the Sphere isn't right for Guns N' Roses – calling it more spectacle than rock and roll venue. That sparks our question: are legacy rock acts being stubborn about technology, or is there real value in keeping live shows raw and authentic? We've got strong opinions, and we want to hear yours.
