Clyde Lewis is a powerful voice in parapolitical and paranormal news and commentary. With a diverse background in news, acting, writing and radio, he entertains and captivates audiences across multiple platforms. Lewis’ career in radio began in Utah in 1982 and he created Ground Zero in 1995 in Salt Lake City. Lewis has produced Ground Zero programs online, on radio and on television. He is ranked #4 as the most influential and popular streaming talk show host, according to TalkStreamLive and Radio Online for 2020.

Lewis has appeared in a SHOWTIME special with magicians Penn & Teller, as well as the television programs Sightings, Strange Universe and the Discovery Channel special Return to the Bermuda Triangle. He has authored five books and written articles in Paranoia Magazine, UFO Magazine, Unknown Magazine, along with being featured in Rolling Stone. Lewis is the model for characters in such books as Safe House by Andrew Vachss, Supernatural Law by Batton Lash, and Alien Invasion by Michael Tresca.

A fan of B-horror and science-fiction movies, comic books and mythology, Lewis has also published his own fanzines and co-written scripts for television and radio. He appeared in the movies Nightfall, which he co-wrote with director Kevin Delullo; Cage in Box Elder; and Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger Part IV, in which he provided the voice of the title character.

When I was in Salt Lake City for the Youngevity conference, I was alone in my room binge watching this television series and noticed that it had all of the elements of a good conspiracy theory yarn. Big government doing clandestine experiments, small town boys stumbling on a strange creature in the woods, and a rumored portal that is supposed lead to a darker parallel universe called, “the upside down” by the children in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana.

On June 24th 1947, the word, flying saucer was coined by journalists who were reporting an odd story about Kenneth Arnold who while flying his plane over Washington spotted nine boomerang shaped craft that seemed to skip across the air as a “saucer would skip across water.” These unknown craft were mirror bright and traveled at fast speeds, faster than any jet that would eventually show up in the skies many years later.
The “flying saucers” had arrived only because the media said so.
The flying saucer was most definitely a media creation; a marketing label developed to sell newspapers. It would become a word that not only was used to encourage the believers and the witnesses but it also was used in a derisive manner.

There were rumors on the internet and elsewhere that a satellite had captured what appeared to be some sort of structure or machine embedded in the ice there. The US military immediately moved to censor the reports and the mainstream news media dutifully complied.

Clarke.As I have said before the book, Childhood’s End, has inspired many alien invasion stories and movies, however, this time the story of Arrival is not all about the aliens but a lesson in language, dialogue, and time perception.
