Israel Keyes - Serial Killer Documentary IV - Pictures in Blood Sep 11, 2023

Show notes

4 of 10. Serial Killer Israel Keyes’ suicide note was written in his own blood; and blood-painted skulls and cryptic bloody words adorned his super-max prison cell walls that he sprawled as he lay dying. Three Grim Philly historians and a criminal profiler psychoanalyze and dig deep in to FBI files to uncover patterns to emerge from the killer’s childhood to his 2012 death in custody. Ransom text-messages sent from murder victim phone’s, white-supremacist traveling hippie parents, Keyes’ time in the United States Army, sneaking over country boarders, and breaking out of leg-irons in a crowded courtroom with dental-floss and a paperclip. The dotting serial killer father maintained loving relationships, rave-reviews for the business he owned; and family, neighbors, and friends were in disbelief that he could have maintained a secret-life as a coldblooded killer, bank-robber, and serial sexual predator until the very end. Brutal details are revealed about victim murders including in Keyes’ own words in this fourth installment of Grim Philly’s Serial Killer Documentary. Part-four of ten: Pictures in Blood AKA “Mommy and Me.”

Part 2 of 10. Plastic-Wrap and Draino: the Serial Killer on LSD and in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

How many people has Israel Keyes murdered? The secretive serial killer was driven to be the most effective killer possible. But not for notoriety. In part 2 of 10 we explore FBI interviews with former friends he’d served with in the military- in Egypt, Israel, Panama, and the United States. His so-called killing code of not harming children or mothers. The serial killer’s experimentation with LSD, exploration of homosexuality, and fashioning himself more as a bank robber than murderer. His double-life. Conversion to Atheism. And, burning to the ground a drunk Mormon’s church, and murdering the want-to-be true-crime novelist slowly to show her “what true-crime really is up-close.”

Israel Keyes - Serial Killer Documentary I - Enigma Aug 21, 2023

Show notes

1 of 10. The most enigmatic modern killer the FBI has yet to encounter is: Israel Keyes. Funding secret killings with money from his bank robberies; Israel Keyes maintained fake passports, snuck over the Canadian and Mexican borders for killings there, and stashed kill-kits with silencers, weapons, plastic-wrap, and restraints across the continental United States that he would wait a decade to return to - flying throughout the country and internationally to kill for thrill in meticulously planned locations thousands of miles from one-another. Israel was married, was entrepreneurial and owned a business, maintained friendships and an upstanding reputation in the communities where he lived. And was remembered most of all as a good friend, successful businessman, a good husband, and dotting father by those who knew him. Professor of World History Joe Wojie is joined by American Historians Britnee Smith and Ted Sisco; Psychologist and Criminal Profiler Dr. Kim, Ethics Professor Tim Collins, and Historian Morgan Haller in this first of ten parts comprehensive mini-series that pulls together 5,000 pages of FBI files; multiple-state’s sheriff, SWAT, and marshal reports, as well as forensic evidence, eye-witness, and tip-line transcripts to paint a picture of the most secretive and dangerous contemporary killer of our time. Israel Keyes’ own words from FBI interrogations are used. Psychoanalysis, victimology, and methodology are pieced together. This is amongst the most comprehensive and thought-provoking analysis of the killer to be ever compiled.

Benjamin Franklin VI - Hellfire Jun 12, 2023

Show notes

6 of 7. Secret Societies, Masons, and The Hellfire Club.

Benjamin Franklin wrote the bylaws for the Masonic Lodge in Philadelphia and initiated Voltaire in to the Masons Lodge in Paris. He also stayed often in the guest cottage on the Dashwood estate and joined Sir Francis Dashwood in pagan debauchery in the man-made Hellfire Caves of West Wycombe. Orgy, drink, and pagan-esq ritual with parliamentarians and lords: John Montagu, John Wilks, and others helped form useful connections. And it was fun. Professor of World History Joe Wojie is joined by American historians Britnee Smith, Ted Sisco, and Madam Toni Levitt.
