The Best is Yet to Come | What's Waiting for Believers Jul 10, 2023

Show notes

We can make two mistakes when it comes to the afterlife. Some people think hell won’t be too bad. They joke that all their friends will be there – they’ll just party all the time. There won’t be any parties there. The other mistake we can make is thinking heaven isn’t all that good...especially if you don’t play the harp. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie helps us see what’s really waiting for believers. We’ll learn about the abundant life in the here and now, and eternal life in the hereafter.

The Best is Yet to Come | Sharing the Life-Saving Message Jul 07, 2023

Show notes

Jesus didn’t tell us to argue someone into the kingdom of God...or to protest our culture into the faith...or even to isolate ourselves from those who don’t believe. Pastor Greg Laurie has said we’re not to isolate but infiltrate. We’re to be salt and light in a culture that needs the hope of the Gospel. Well today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg helps us set a course for taking this life-saving message to those whose eternal lives hang in the balance. It’s the very reason we’re here.

It’s Time to Pray | Be On Speaking Terms With Our Heavenly Father Jul 06, 2023

Show notes

We know prayer is a privilege. We know prayer is powerful. Prayer moves the hand that moves the world. But what some don’t realize is that God WANTS us to come to Him. He welcomes our petitions. He listens to our cries. And prayer can make a difference, even if we don’t feel worthy for such an important role. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie brings us insights on prayer straight from the Word of God. It’s good encouragement to be on “speaking terms” with our Heavenly Father.

What the Lord’s Return Means to You | How to Spend Our Time While We Wait Jul 03, 2023

Show notes

For many kids, as the days countdown to the end of a school year, there’s excitement...no more homework, no more tests! I think Alice Cooper sang about that. But those final hours of the school year can go by so S-L-O-W-L-Y. A lot of us feel that way about the return of Christ. We’re excited to see our Savior, but we’ve been waiting a long time. Well today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out the reasons for the wait and shows us what God would have us do with our extra time.

Campers who like to go out into the boondocks to find a remote campsite sometimes fly drones to look ahead at what’s around the next bend. They can make better decisions with a bird’s eye view. Well, we’ll make better decisions about our lives if we trust God’s view . . . the one that sees around the bend and w ell into the future. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie brings some encouraging insights about the will of God and how it’ll keep us from being spiritually stranded in the boondocks.

Many of us remember the stress of driving in an unfamiliar area before GPS. “Do we turn at the next signal, or the one after that . . . or was it the one we just passed!?” Life got simpler when our dashboard told us where to go. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie points out the joy we can discover when we let God’s will tell us where to go. We’re thinking big picture things today as Pastor Greg takes us to James chapter 4 in his new series, “Walk This Way.”
