Was the decision to get rid of a second-round draft pick for Mohamed Sanu worth it? Is Bill Belichick able to pick strong, valuable players? Is this 2020 New England Patriots team a playoff team?

0:33: On Episode 1, Greg Bedard said Mohamed Sanu was a guy to watch out for in terms of Patriots cuts.

1:31:Greg Bedard: “He wasn’t going to be one of tour top three receivers, you were going to have to put somebody else out there with speed."

Bedard believes that Belichick made the right choice in cutting Sanu.

2:41: Nick Cattles: “I think this is one of the worst trades he’s ever made”

Nick, in reference to Bill Belichick giving up a 2nd round draft pick for Mohamed Sanu, considering he played in only 8 games total for the Patriots.

4:15: Bedard: “Between Antonio Brown and Mohamed Sanu the combination of neither of those things working were sort of the last nail in the coffin for Brady leaving”

    9:00

The most important question of the 2020 Patriots season: Is Cam Newton the right trigger man?

Bedard: "I don’t know, we’ll have to see.”

    10:25

Discussion begins on Lamar Miller being taken off PUP

    12:19

Greg talks about his final 53 man roster projection: Sony Michel, James White, Damien Harris, and Rex Burkhead as the four running backs.

    14:43

Bedard on the fact that there have been no pre season games, so there have been no QB injuries. In the past there have been at least 4 or 5 by now.

    15:20

Bedard: “If I were the Buffalo Bills I would absolutely sign Brian Hoyer just to screw with the Patriots."

    15:56

Where does the RB position go from here moving into the 2020 season for the Patriots?

    19:29

Nick Cattles and Bedard on if this Patriots team is a playoff team.

This isn't the normal All-Star Patriots team that we're used to, but change can be good. The Patriots have a great secondary and what could be a great offensive line with one of the best coaching staffs in the league.

Bedard: “You get Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels into a close game, they are gonna win more often than not”

    21:58

Greg's confidence level in Pats being a playoff team is: 95%

    24:55

Greg’s picks for who will make up the starting 22 on opening day for the Patriots.

    29:30

Boston Sports Journal member question of the day

Is this the worst trade for a Veteran we have seen with the Sanu deal?

    33:07

“To me I think the Sanu deal was worse than all of them...it was that bad. They wasted a 2nd round pick for 8 games.
