    GreatMan Podcast

Manhood is not merely a product of biology, but rather the result of maturing, learning, and experience. While being born male is a matter of genetics, becoming a man is a matter of choice. The GreatMan Podcast is here to equip men to make that choice by uniquely combining three diverse perspectives, blending academic insight with practical guidance to help men build greatness in every area of life. Unlike most podcasts, we tackle a single topic over two weeks: the first episode–“The Talk”–offers a broad overview led by New York Times bestselling author, Stephen Mansfield, while the following episode–“The Build”–focuses on practical steps led by men’s coaches, Anthony Flemons and JT McCraw, to integrate the theme into daily life. In all that we do, we believe that males are born, and men are built.

"Men insult. Women compliment. Neither one of them mean it too much."

This lighthearted phrase carries an underlying truth which Stephen focuses on today. It's clear that friendly jabs and banter shape male friendships—but we need to know where the line is between connection and harm. In all of our communication with fellow men, let us not forget that brotherhood can be built on teasing, but from a place of genuine respect.

    The Build: A Father's Day Plan Jun 13, 2025
    Show notes

In this special edition episode, JT and Anthony are joined by former NFL Super Bowl champion, pastor, author, and leader of men, Tim Johnson. Tim shares insights from his book and film Fatherless No More, exploring how unresolved father wounds shape a man’s identity and struggles. His radical story of faith has taken him all over the globe, most recently to Riker's Island prison in New York, where he spent extensive time reshaping the lives of the young men there. In everything he does, Tim wants men to understand the deeper "why" behind our design, showing that vices are often symptoms of a soul left unhealed. Through honesty, forgiveness, and release, Tim reveals a path to lasting freedom and purpose.
