God is good and perfect! Yet He loves to do new things—forging new paths, creating new works, and making us new creations for His glory. In this final message of the “New Things” series, we explore the grand finale: God will make all things new.

God understands how broken things are!

Jesus understands our weaknesses and lived in this broken world.

God is faithful!

Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us.

We must all be made new to experience this new creation!

Our spirits are being renewed daily for eternal glory.

God is creating new heavens and a new earth, and the old will be forgotten.

Final Thought

It takes faith to believe in what we cannot yet see. God is faithful to do all He has promised.

New Things – New Works Aug 24, 2025

In Week 4 of our “New Things” series, we explore how God does new works through unexpected people and methods. From Samson’s jawbone to a nameless usher at a revival—God’s power is what matters, not the tool.

Scripture Focus:

Judges 15:9–17 – “The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon Samson… he picked up the jawbone of a donkey and killed 1,000 Philistines.”
1 Corinthians 12:4–6 – “There are different kinds of spiritual gifts… but the same God who does the work in all of us.”

Main Points:
– God works in mysterious ways!
– The spirit’s anointing was on Samson, not the Jawbone!
– Samson threw the Jawbone away!

Closing Thought:
Don’t idolize the method—honor the Spirit behind the work. God may use you in a way that seems small or strange, but it could lead to a harvest beyond imagination. Be faithful, be available, and let God do something new through you.

In Week 3 of our “New Things” series, we explore how God uses new methods to accomplish His will. From the flood to Pentecost, from prophets to Christ Himself—God’s ways are often unexpected, but always purposeful.

Scripture Focus:

Hebrews 1:1–4 – “Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways… now he has spoken to us through his Son.”
John 12:37 – “Despite all the miraculous signs… most of the people still did not believe.”
John 7:12–13 – “Some argued, ‘He’s a good man,’ but others said, ‘He’s nothing but a fraud…’”
James 1:5 – “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God…”
Acts 5:38–39 – “If it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them…”

Main Points:
1. Know how God has moved in the past!
2. Christ was a drastic method!
3. Prayerfully consider all!
4. God’s methods lead to the same thing!

Closing Thought:
God’s methods may look different, but His signature is always present. Be ready to see, hear, and respond to what He’s doing—even when it’s not what you expected.

As we finish up chapter 2 today we will talk about two unique encounters that Jesus has with people who do not understand why he is doing what he is doing. This is a great passage to remind us not to put God in our boxes that we can understand but we maintain faith to trust in God especially when we don’t understand.

We are not new creations because we deserve it!
