Despite having a true love for basketball, Robert went to Texas Christian University (TCU), where he played football. After college, he played for two teams in the NFL over three years. After a catastrophic knee injury, he realized that his professional playing days were behind him.
Being a Grand Prairie resident at that time, he applied for GPPD, and the rest is history! He has been with the PD for 15 years now.
