Welcome back to Gotta Game For You — where we always have a game lined up just for you! We’re back with more of our Summer Game Fest 2025 coverage, and today we’re bringing you Part Five of our gameplay reactions, dev chats, and first-look coverage!
This time around, Meghan (@Strawburry17) and Shelby (@Shubble) are spotlighting three unforgettable titles that each bring something different to the table. From stylish stealth to nostalgic storytelling to cozy introspection, this episode is all about games that hit you right in the feels and stay with you long after the credits roll.
First up, Snap and Grab, a stylish stealth puzzler that turns photography into the ultimate heist tool. You play as Nifty Nevada, a globe-trotting fashion photographer with a secret life as a criminal mastermind. Instead of sneaking through vents or cracking safes, you snap the perfect shots of guard patrols, loot locations, and escape routes to pull off the perfect heist.
Next, we get nostalgic with Mixtape, a coming-of-age adventure from Beethoven and Dinosaur and Annapurna Interactive. It’s a dreamy, music-driven journey through the memories of three friends on their last night together before life takes them in different directions. Each track on their shared mixtape becomes a playable moment backed by legends like DEVO, The Cure, and Joy Division. We also sat down with dev Woody Woodward to talk about crafting the emotional heartbeat of Mixtape and how music became the connective tissue of the story.
Finally, we revisit Wanderstop, a cozy narrative adventure from Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive. You play as Alta, a retired warrior learning to slow down and find peace in a magical forest tea shop. It’s a gentle, introspective game about burnout, healing, and redefining purpose. While Wanderstop wasn’t part of this year’s Summer Game Fest, we couldn’t resist bringing it back for a special conversation with Jenny Windom, Communications Director at Ivy Road, to talk about the game’s impact and what’s brewing next.
We’re inching closer to the end of our Summer Game Fest coverage, but don’t worry, there’s still plenty more ahead. Join us next episode for more games you’ve definitely gotta play, plus another exclusive developer interview!
