Buffalo asserts its dominance. Denver digs new lows. (Plus, TE talk!) Oct 19, 2022
    Show notes

What a win for the Bills in Kansas City. It's not full-fledged revenge. (This is still the regular season, after all.) But this game was more proof that Buffalo is a well-oiled machine top to bottom. Co-host Jim Monos explains why a clear power structure is so important and why Sean McDermott needed to build the team the way he did.
Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos' offense continues to be unwatchable. How does this keep getting worse?
And we finish with tight end talk. Monos was the southeast scout for the New Orleans Saints who played a major role in the drafting of Jimmy Graham. You can buy "The Blood and Guts: How Tight Ends Save Football" NOW everywhere books are sold: https://www.amazon.com/Blood-Guts-Tight-Ends-Football/dp/1538723743/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2LVBK39RH99JX&keywords=the+blood+and+guts+tyler+dunne&qid=1666176608&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIwLjUxIiwicXNhIjoiMC4zNiIsInFzcCI6IjAuNDEifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=%2Caps%2C993&sr=8-1

Isaiah McKenzie Show, S2 Ep4: The Bills-Chiefs rematch is here Oct 11, 2022
    Show notes

We had a packed house at Mister’s Bar & Lanes in East Aurora, NY this week.

First, a huge thank you to the East Aurora JV Little Loop squad and all families who spent their Monday night with us. Quite a turnout for a player who didn’t even suit up in Buffalo’s 38-3 throttling of the Pittsburgh Steelers at Highmark Stadium the day prior.

I suppose that’s the pull of one, “Lil Dirty.” Isaiah McKenzie was in pure form again for Episode 4.

    A few topics discussed…

    * His health. McKenzie was surprised the Bills held him out against Pittsburgh, but watching this blowout as a spectator was fun and he expects to return this week against Kansas City. (Even if McKenzie is still milking this concussion to get out of chores around the house with his girlfriend.)

    * Gabe Davis’ Moss-like breakout game.

    * Thirteen Seconds. As, yes. Thirteen seconds. Replay our final episode from Season 1 if you’d like. McKenzie thinks back to that playoff loss once more, and explains how the team moved on into the offseason. Have the Bills used the epic meltdown as motivation or are they trying to forget it and bury it? Through history, we’ve seen teams in this position choose both routes.

    * He has never sipped alcohol before in his life. Seriously. McKenzie explains why he’s always avoided booze. And if the Bills win it all? McKenzie promises he’ll drink for the first time ever.

    * Sean McDermott showed players a documentary on Team USA’s 2008 “Redeem Team” last weekend. What was the purpose behind this?

    * George Costanza.

    * With the Little Loopers in-house, McKenzie turns back the clock to when he first got into football. Believe it or not, he was an offensive lineman and he has always loved getting hit.

    * Once more, we open things up for a lengthy Q&A with you all… McKenzie takes the fans up on their salsa dance request, too.

As always, the goal of this show is to take you beyond the press conferences and locker room. We want to bring you as close as possible to this league at Go Long. Live around Western New York? Come on out to one of our four remaining live shows at Mister’s. All dates are below.

Isaiah McKenzie Show, S2 Ep4: The Bills-Chiefs rematch is here Oct 11, 2022
    Show notes

Isaiah McKenzie missed Buffalo's 38-3 obliteration of the Pittsburgh Steelers, but that's OK. The game of the season is this Sunday in KC. Granted, a real shot at revenge doesn't come until the postseason but this is a biggie.
We break down the psychology of a team headed back to the scene of... "13 Seconds." Did the Bills use that loss as motivation or try to forget it entirely? McKenzie explains.
What a fun, fun show, too. Mister's Bar & Lanes was absolutely packed for this show. Be sure to get all dates and times for future shows at GoLongTD.com. We open the forum up again with questions, too.

Week 5 Wrap: Lamar, Kyler, Rodgers folds, Bills roll and... that's roughing the passer? Oct 10, 2022
    Show notes

One day later, the penalty on Grady Jarrett still boggles the mind and -- once more -- exposes a confused NFL.
Lamar Jackson misses key throws, yet Baltimore wins. Aaron Rodgers cannot close in London.
And the Buffalo Bills smashed the Steelers. We break it all down on the pod.

Is the resurgent Saquon Barkley destined to be a Bill? Oct 05, 2022
    Show notes

We have reached the quarter pole, everyone. It's time to study trends.
First, we cannot ignore all of the vicious collisions we've seen in the NFL this season. How do we reconcile this all? Simple: It's a violent game, and it'd just be nice if the league acknowledged this violence.
Jim Monos dives deep into the players who have impressed him four weeks in. Saquon Barkley is finally looking like the player who tore through the Big Ten. There's real hope in Kenny Pickett. Matt Milano dominated in Baltimore. And, Monos explains who Justin Fields reminds him of.
Finally, we take your most outlandish, non-football questions... with a few Halloween movie recommendations.
As a reminder, you can still take advantage of this special offer. Through Oct. 11, pre-order "The Blood and Guts: How Tight Ends Save Football," at 30% off. A collection of the wildest untold football stories you've heard, right here: https://800ceoread.com/coupons/view_expired/1818
