October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we are thrilled to have actress and advocate Elizabeth Hurley on the show to discuss the importance of being "breast aware." Elizabeth lost her grandmother to the cancer and was asked by Evelyn Lauder, daugther-in-law to the Estée Lauder herself, to participate as the Global Ambassador for The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, which she has served as for the last 28 years. She shares how this has become a diverse cancer and how some types of breast cancer affect certain demographics more than others (and why research is so important for this reason), how it's affecting women at a younger age more than ever before, and why early detection is crucial. She also shares some of her favorite beauty products and discusses whether or not she feels the tabloids were worse in the '90s or now.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, help fund lifesaving breast cancer research by sharing a photo or video using the hashtag #TimeToEndBreastCancer. For every public, in-feed Instagram post featuring #TimetoEndBreastCancer, Estée Lauder Companies will donate $25 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, up to $75,000, through October 31, 2023.

Today we have the most-followed dermatologist on social media as our guest, but don't let that title phase you — Dr. Muneeb Shah is a board-certified dermatologist that happens to have 21M+ followers on social media. Dr. Shah (@dermdoctor on TikTok or @doctorly on Instagram) rose to fame on social for democratizing skincare advice from a dermatologist for the masses.

He completed his undergraduate studies at Hofstra University, medical school at Nova Southeastern University, and dermatology residency at Campbell University. He recently joined friend-of-the-pod Dr. Bhanhusali at Hudson Derm and Laser Surgery in New York City, where he's a partner. Today we discuss how he got to this point in his career, how he feels about dermatologists leaving the medical field to become full-time content creators, why he loves clinical dermatology and will always continue to see patients, and he answers some rather spooky skincare questions just in time for Friday the 13th, like filler migration, improper use of viral skincare product A313, and the very relevant topic of bed bugs.

Maybe you had a solid three-step skincare regimen as a kid. If you were like us, you were also probably obsessed with beauty in general. But our teenage selves don't hold a candle to current tween regimens. In today's episode, we share a story from Look, Air Mail's beauty and wellness publication, that details the rather involved (and frankly insane) regimens of several 10 to 15-year-olds, which include everything from Drunk Elephant minis to MZ Skin's $145 eye cream and share our learnings from the tweens in our lives. Then we break down why people are so unhappy with Youthforia's latest launch, a made-to-sleep-in foundation that missed the mark on the shade range.
