In this episode of Givin Them The Business podcast Chris Gotti Lorenzo former VP of Murder Inc and latin co-host Don Dinero sit down in the Cuban Connection studio with their guest Corey Pegues who was formerly part of one most well-known gangs in Queens, New York. So much their activities drew in the attention of the FBI. Which led to investigations, indictments and much more. To where there are now movies, documentaries, and series being created around the experiences of the gang influence in Queens. The Supreme Team was notorious on the streets everyone who knew them knew that there no one to be played. Their then leader Kenny "Supreme" McGriff is currently still serving time for these alleged charges.
(02:05s) Corey Pegues came to share is story with Chris Gotti and co-host Don Dinero how he went from being one of the Supreme Team notorious gang members to become a New York City police officer for over 20 years. This story is unique but also one that comes back around full circle. Please join us as we get into this story about Corey Pegues.
(03:31s) My first job was the "Supreme Team", being on the crew Friday was a paycheck day. No days off could not have a regular life. Paid by the days and hours worked. Working shifts that lined up with the police shift 8-4, 4-12, 12-8.
(06:55s) At the height of the "Supreme Team" prime. Edward Burns came in and changed everything for the team. Karma came to share her feelings about the actions at hand.

(10:10s) The weight of "Supreme" being in prison for something he did not do and having him sitting in a place where does not belong. He will be coming home soon.
(14:35s) Chapter "Oh #God Please", I have to kill him?! Corey is on his way to a
line up with the Boss. Telling him to kill someone to see how he would handle that situation. 2 weeks later he enlisted in the military. The thought of taking someone else's #life just to take it was not who he was. The crew would put you through these periodic tests to see how much loyalty you had for to the crew

(21:21s) How long were in the military? 3 years and 8 months. Chris Gotti asked "Was like a jail sentence? Corey: "Hell yeah" this is not for me, enlisted to save his life. Dinero also shares why he decided to join the military. The football numbers helped make the decision to save his own life by joining the military. Corey "it was a nice pause, it was the greatest pause, months later the supremeteam is taken down, #Edwards Burns was dead
(26:00s) There was so much #money and we never even counted the 1s and 5s. So much money we didn't even bother to count it, just burn it.
(26:25s) Came home from the military and took the Corrections Officer exam and the Police officer exam. The police academy called first.
