Episode 257: The Star Brigade Story Jul 11, 2022

Show notes

Cobra bases on the moon? Starfighter pilots that can fly at "quasar velocities"? An Empire of alien life forms attacking GI Joe?

Let's take a minute to acknowledge that Star Brigade brought the most bat-shit crazy concepts into GI Joe. And lets take many more minutes to discuss them! Hey, love it or hate it, someone (or a team of someones) dreamed up this beautiful hodgepodge of sci-fi tropes and trotted out glimpses of it on the Star Brigade filecards. Let's stitch it together and try and make some sense of it.

Episode 251: The Joes The Cartoon Missed May 31, 2022

Show notes

There’s a fair bit of GI Joe animation out there. Be it DIC, Extreme, Sigma 6, Resolute, Renegades and, of course, the legendary Sunbow series. And these shows served to showcase a lot of toys. But nevertheless certain characters, designs, and concepts slipped through the cracks and were criminally omitted. GI Joburg takes a look at a few of these toys in episode 251.

Plus Steve rants about Shockwave’s filecard. It’s all going down!
