    WWE put all its eggs in Roman Reigns' basket by making him the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion ... and then wasted the momentum from the Biggest WrestleMania Match Ever without a strong enough follow up.     AEW, NXT: New champions, more bangers, Creed Brothers, Wheeler Yuta Apr 14, 2022

    AEW and NXT both focused on strong in-ring wrestling and multiple title matches this week while also making some confusing booking decisions on their respective shows. Host Adam Silverstein dives into the latest from both brands starting with AEW [4:40] where Rampage featured a star-making moment for Wheeler Yuta vs. Jon Moxley and Dynamite featured four bangers with Samoa Joe winning the Ring of Honor TV title over Minoru Suzuki and CM Punk battling Penta Oscuro. Next, "The Silver King" takes a look at NXT [24:15], which crowned Pretty Deadly as new tag team champions in a fantastic gauntlet match, again featured an incredible showing by the Creed Brothers and featured a surprise appearance by Natalya to boost the women's division.     With WrestleMania 38 now a full week in the rear-view mirror, WWE has entered rematch mode for WrestleMania Backlash. Three of the five biggest storylines are continuing unabated while WWE simultaneously tries to refresh other areas of its product. Host Adam Silverstein opens with The Main Event [8:00] where a surprising lack of coronation for the undisputed WWE universal champion Roman Reigns is questioned as is the potential of also unifying the tag team championships. Cody Rhodes continues to receive massive reactions on Raw, and while a Seth Rollins rematch is fine, it may speak to early booking concerns. Next up is The Good, The Bad and The Ugly [22:00] where "The Silver King" dives into Ronda Rousey's lack of juice, a surprising challenger for Bianca Belair, Edge's new group getting off to a rough start, poor booking of Liv Morgan, and NXT call ups for GUNTHER, Ludvig Kaiser, Raquel Rodriguez and Tommaso Ciampa, plus everything else from SmackDown and Raw.     NXT looked prepared to set the stage for post-Stand & Deliver storylines but instead reverted much of its booking despite putting on a good show, while AEW purposely showcased a workrate edition of Dynamite after WrestleMania week while setting multiple title matches. Host Adam Silverstein opens with NXT [4:20] where Bron Breakker randomly defended his NXT championship against GUNTHER, Imperium appeared headed for a split, new champions MSK got new tag team title challengers before Nash Carter was released, and the women's tag team belts changed hands again. Next, "The Silver King" dives into AEW [23:30], which featured the TV match of the year in FTR vs. Young Bucks, Samoa Joe debuted on Dynamite, Keith Lee and Powerhouse Hobbs banged meat, Christian Cage and Adam Cole tried to one-up Edge and AJ Styles, and the Hardys were involved in a convoluted tables match.
