Getcha Popcorn Ready with T.O. and Hatch

“Some think it, we say it.” That’s the straight-talk ethos of “Getcha Popcorn Ready with T.O. & Hatch,” the new podcast from former NFL wide receivers and longtime friends Terrell Owens and Matthew Hatchette. Each episode, the outspoken pair talk about — and hilariously bust balls about — everything from football and other sports, to entertainment and fashion, often joined by celebrity guests. With an undeniable chemistry and a commitment to real talk and actual differences of opinion, they bring every bit of the entertainment that Hall of Fame showman T.O. famously promised football fans when he told them to get their popcorn ready. So, do like the man says and get those kernels poppin’, ’cause you’re in for one helluva show.

EP 44 // ANTHONY “SPICE” ADAMS ON HIS TRANSITION FROM NFL LINEMAN TO STAR COMEDIAN & ENTERTAINER Nov 17, 2020
    Show notes

Anthony “Spice” Adams played defensive tackle for nine seasons in the NFL, but many of his fans don’t know or believe that he was a professional football player. That’s because, in retirement, he reinvented himself as a comedic entertainer on social media and television and has enjoyed equal, if not greater, success and fame than he did on the gridiron. On this episode of “Getcha Popcorn Ready,” Spice joins T.O. and Hatch to talk about the reality of being teammates with T.O. on the 49ers, being forced to play football in high school, how he got a scholarship to play for Penn State while a high school sophomore, the surprising conversations he had with legendary PSU head coach Joe Paterno, the meeting with Michael Strahan that planted a seed for his entertainment career, his career goals, and much more. Plus, there’s plenty of topless action that you do not want to miss — even in audio form!

EP 43 // DARRELL GREEN CLAIMS HE’S THE FASTEST NFL PLAYER EVER & GOD GAVE HIM CAREER ADVICE Nov 10, 2020
    Show notes

Hall of Fame cornerback Darrell Green is a two-time Super Bowl champion, seven-time Pro Bowler, and four-time First-team All Pro who played 20 seasons in Washington, but there’s a good chance you’re still sleeping on him. When people discuss NFL speedsters, or even greats who played their entire career with one team, he’s often overlooked, but to hear Darrell tell it, he is the fastest man to ever play in the NFL. Period. On this episode of “Getcha Popcorn Ready,” Darrell joins T.O. and Hatch to talk about his blazing speed, not being able to catch balls, his unusual journey to the NFL and persevering despite the deaths of numerous friends, the key to his athletic success, the role God played in his life — including the time He told him to pass on a lucrative contract with a new team, and meeting several U.S. presidents and world leaders. Plus, Darrell wades into T.O.’s Hall of Fame snubs and tries to get him some clarity on what the hell the voters were thinking. Listen and enjoy!

When people think of the New England Patriots dynasty, they typically think of QB Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick, but without Hall of Fame cornerback Ty Law, there’s a better-than-good chance that the franchise would have several less Lombardi trophies. On this episode of “Getcha Popcorn Ready,” the three-time Super Bowl champion and five-time Pro Bowler joins T.O. and Hatch to talk about what Belichick lets players get away with and the one time he actually acts like an asshole, Brady’s ultra-competitive nature and mentality on and off the field, Cam Newton’s struggles in New England, why Tampa Bay is the best landing spot for talented but troubled receiver Antonio Brown, what it was like defending T.O. and much more. Grab your popcorn, press play, and get it poppin’!
