    SCIENCE: Juno and the red spot of Jupiter Feb 18, 2019

    In this clip from Fueled By Death Show episode 113, we check in with some of our favorite spacecraft. First, Juno has found a new giant storm on Jupiter and it might give us more insight into how the famous red spot was formed. Then on Mars, the Curiosity rover has been augmented to study gravitational readings, adding more science to the mission six and half years after touching down on the red planet. Also, the Parker Solar Probe has made its first orbit around our Sun and we are starting to unlock the mysteries of the star in our backyard.

    SCIENCE: SpaceX rocket test Feb 03, 2019
    Show notes

    In this clip from Fueled By Death Show 111, we discuss news from SpaceX on science. First up though, we talk about an incredible new image of Messier 61 galaxy from the VLT telescope at the Paranal Observatory in Chile. The big news is SpaceX has successfully tested the rockets on the Falcon 9 that will be carrying the unmanned Crew Dragon capsule on its first launch in February. If that test launch goes well, then a manned version is set for April of 2019, ushering in a new era of sending astronauts into space from American soil once again.     Rob Prior - Pop culture artist Jan 31, 2019

    This week we welcome pop culture artist, sculptor, and director, Rob Prior, to episode 111 of the podcast. We met Rob a few years ago at a Walker Stalker Convention and have been fascinated by his career ever since. Rob talks about starting at a very young age and being published internationally, what it's like to create art with both hands and two brushes, and how he paints to loud music, even joining bands like Linkin Park on stage. Plus, hear how Rob is directing his first movie, his trip to Africa to paint animals in the wild, and his upcoming gallery show that features Stan Lee in a bunch of iconic comic book covers. Stan actually loved the art and signed many of the originals before he passed away in 2018.
