E54: Elroy Chester Sep 05, 2019

Show notes

This week Beth and Wendy discuss a black serial killer named Elroy Chester was convicted in 1998 of fatally shooting Willie Ryman III, after Chester raped Ryman's two nieces in Port Arthur, TX. Then he confessed to four more murders. DNA (Wendy’s favorite) was linked to three rapes, including that of a ten-year-old girl. Chester said that he committed his crimes due to an intense “hate for white people" after an incident he had involving a white man. We also have a frank discussion on racism and the myth of "reverse racism" (8:43). Join the conversation, you know where to find us.
First we intro the subject (12:50) then the stats (13:32). Next, we dive into the setting (10:35), the killers early life (1817) and the timeline (24:34). Then, we get into the investigation & arrest(36:35) followed by "Where are they now?"(48:40 ). We get into our Take Aways and what we think made the perp snap (49:43).
As usual we close out the show with some shout outs (57:09 ), crime news (55:27) and of course, some tips on how not to get murdered(54:20).

E47: Winston Moseley Jul 18, 2019

There’s a lot more to that story that many people don’t know, including that fact that Winston Moseley was a serial killer.

E45: The Skid Row Slasher May 30, 2019

Show notes

In the last episode of this season Beth and Wendy discuss Vaughn Orris Greenwood AKA The Skid Row Slasher.
**NOTE: we are aware of the audio issues in this episode and we sincerely apologize! We did the best we could and we will be using some of the break between seasons to revamp our equipment. Thanks for understanding!!**
Greenwood is, as far as we know, a black gay or bisexual man (though we’re not sure he was actually out) who was convicted of killing nine men in Los Angeles, California. Greenwood would stage some of his crime scenes with cups of blood, sprinkled salt and he allegedly carved unidentifiable markings in his victims flesh.
As usual we close out the show with some shout outs, crime news and of course, some tips on how not to get murdered.
