On this episode of The Repack from Frozen Tundra Frequencies, Tex is joined by Jeff Warren of The Philadelphia Sports Table podcast to talk about all things Jonathan Gannon. Who is the Packers' new defensive coordinator, what does he bring in terms of scheme, and how did Eagles fans feel about his performance calling plays for their team's defense in 2021 and 2022? Jeff breaks it all down, plus gives a little bit of insight into Philly's OC search, which now includes a second interview for Packers QBs coach Sean Mannion.

There are still plenty of moves to be made around the NFL, but the Green Bay Packers have decided on a few big things in recent weeks, starting with retaining Matt LaFleur as head coach and hiring Jonathan Gannon to replace the departing Jeff Hafley at defensive coordinator. Tex Western and guest Justis Mosqueda break down why LaFleur staying made sense, what kind of scheme Gannon will likely bring to Green Bay, and how the team needs to supplement their personnel to fit their new defense. More changes are coming on the coaching staff as well and they look at how the team might replace some other departing (or potentially departing) assistant coaches.

On a brand new Reporting as Eligible, Paul, JR, and Matt wrap up a terrible playoff loss to the worst possible team to lose to, what went wrong, and what can be better in the future. Maybe get a kicker that isn't terrible, or some guys who can tackle on special teams, or maybe don't play hurt Jacobs. Plus, how to fix the second half pacing issues, praise for Matthew Golden from MOST of us, and of course, listener questions!
Thanks again for all the listener questions!

The Green Bay Packers' season is over, and it happened in the most predictable and yet still most painful way possible. Tex, Tyler, and (eventually) Justis discuss the 31-27 loss to the Bears, what's ahead for Matt LaFleur and the coaching staff, and take a journey from calm acceptance into anger and frustration. Where does this game rank in the annals of painful playoff losses? Will LaFleur indeed be back in 2026? Why is Brandon McManus allowed to board the plane back to Green Bay instead of being forced to walk home? All of these questions and more will be answered (except for the last one).
