    Sermon Take Home Notes

    • We all struggle, and God meets us with grace, not condemnation.
    • You don't have to earn God's love. You already belong.
    • Shame says, "Try harder." Grace says, "Come closer."
    • Spiritual growth is learning to live as the person God created you to be.
    • Open hands receive what closed hands cannot: God's transforming grace.

    Bottom Line

You have nothing to prove because you are already God's beloved.

    #384: Rev. Jim Humphries | June 28, 2026 Jun 29, 2026
    Show notes

    Take Home Notes:

    • God loved us first
We do not earn God’s love. It is freely given through grace.

    • Love should shape how we see others
Every person is created in the image of God and worthy of dignity.

    • Faith without love misses the point
Religion, knowledge, and tradition mean little if love is absent.

    • We cannot receive love and refuse to give it
God calls us to extend the same grace we have been shown.

    • Make love your lens
Let love guide how you respond to people, situations, and the world around you.

    Bottom Line / One Takeaway:
If God’s love has changed your life, let love shape the way you live, see others, and reflect Christ every day.

    #383: Rev. Dr. Preston Davis | June 21, 2026 Jun 22, 2026

    1. You Are Not Running Alone
God has surrounded you with people who encourage, guide, and strengthen your faith.

    2. Keep Your Eyes on Jesus
What we focus on shapes how we live. Fix your heart on Christ above everything else.

    3. Joy Comes Before the Struggle
We do not earn God’s love. We live from the joy of already being loved.

    4. Worship Changes Perspective
When life feels overwhelming, worship helps refocus your heart and renew your soul.

    5. Run the Race With Endurance
Faith is not about speed. It is about trusting God and continuing forward.

    Short Closing Takeaway

You may feel surrounded by life’s pressures, but in Christ, you are surrounded by grace. Keep running. Keep trusting. Keep your eyes on Jesus.

    What to Remember This Week:

    • Peace is not the reward after life gets easier. It starts with God.

    • You do not need all the answers to trust God with what’s ahead.

    • God’s presence is more powerful than explanations.

    • Christ has already gone before you, so you are never walking alone.

    • Whatever lies ahead, the peace of Christ is already with you.

Short Bottom Line (great for graphics/video overlays)

“Peace isn’t found when uncertainty ends. Peace begins when we trust God.”

    #381: Rev. Dr. Jody Seymour | June 7, 2026 Jun 08, 2026

    Remember This Week:

    • God is present in every transition.

    • Change may be uncomfortable, but it can also be a blessing.

    • God is still shaping and transforming us.

    • Faith means trusting God with what comes next.

    • You're not finished because God is not finished with you.

    Weekly Practice

When you face a change this week, pause and pray:

"God, help me trust what You are doing, even when I cannot yet see it."

    God Is Love

God is not waiting for you to become worthy of love.
    God already loves you.

    The Gospel Brings Hope

Jesus did not come to condemn the world.
Jesus came to heal, restore, and save it.

    Love Is Our Calling

The church is not a museum preserving the past.
The church is a movement bringing God's love to the world.

    Build Bridges, Not Walls

Keep welcoming. Keep serving. Keep reaching outward.

    Three Things to Remember

    Be grateful.
    Love with your whole heart.
Do no harm, do all the good you can, and stay in love with God.

    ---

God is love. Christ is God's love in the flesh. And because of that, God is always with us and for us.

    • The church is called to be a people of hope, renewal, and new beginnings.

    1. Don’t let fear lead your life
The world runs on anxiety, but the Gospel invites us into trust.

    2. Jesus doesn’t give a map. He gives himself
Faith is not certainty. It’s relationship.

    3. “The Way” is a way of living
Not a path to get somewhere, but a life shaped by love, grace, and presence.

    4. Love is the antidote to fear
Fear builds walls. Love breaks them down.

    5. Following Jesus is a daily choice
    Choose:

    • Love over control
    • Welcome over exclusion
    • Grace over judgment

    6. Christianity is not just something to believe
    It’s a life to live.

    7. You are not walking alone
Jesus walks with you through every unknown and every fear.

    Simple Practice for the Week:

When you feel anxious or overwhelmed, pause and ask:
“What would it look like to choose love right now?”

Then take one small step in that direction.

    • Jesus brings unlikely people together
Unity across differences is part of the Gospel.
    • The early church lived differently
They shared, cared, and made sure no one was in need.
    • Love was their defining mark
People noticed because it wasn’t normal.
    • The church is called to be different
Not shaped by culture, but shaped by Christ.
    • Faith is a way of life
      Generosity, sacrifice, and community.
    • Following Jesus will make you stand out
The truth doesn’t make you fit in, it makes you “odd.”
    • Live it out this week
Choose love, even when it feels different.
