Economist, market analyst, and President of Miles Franklin, Andy Schectman, returns to the Economic Review to discuss the misdirection taking place across the financial media. We examine the bond market and challenge the prevailing narrative that China’s reduced purchases of U.S. Treasuries are simply the result of internal economic distress. Schectman explains why there may be much more happening beneath the surface and what shifting behavior in the bond market could signal for the broader economy.
We also take another look at the growing divide between Americans who own significant assets and those struggling with everyday expenses. While asset holders have largely remained insulated, the economic reality for much of the population increasingly resembles a recession as household pressures continue to mount. Lastly, we return to silver and discuss why Schectman believes its combination of monetary demand, industrial use, supply constraints, and changing global conditions could give the metal extraordinary upside in what he views as a unique moment in its history.

It’s Wayback Wednesday, with another interview from our archives. This week, we present a discussion from 2009 with the late Dr. Tom Horn about his groundbreaking book Apollyon Rising 2012.
First released December 14, 2009
THE UNITED STATES was founded by esoteric societies to bring forth the resurrected Apollo.
So says Tom Horn in his new book, Apollyon Rising 2012 (https://amzn.to/4vxz9hs), a remarkable piece of research and analysis in which he makes the case that 18th century Freemasons knowingly established a New Atlantis to welcome the return of “Saturn’s reign, With a new breed of men sent down from heaven.”
What happens then? The birth -- or rebirth -- of a boy:
[I]n whom
The iron shall cease, the golden age arise. . .
[...]
He shall receive the life of gods, and see
Heroes with gods commingling, and himself
Be seen of them, and with his father’s worth
Reign o’er a world at peace.
— Virgil, Eclogue IV
The poem cited above is by the Roman poet Virgil, and it is the source of the phrase Novus Ordo Seclorum, which is featured on the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States. As Saturn is one aspect of Satan/Lucifer, this prophesied boy -- Apollo/Apollyon/Abaddon/Osiris/Marduk/Nimrod -- is the son of Lucifer, and the hoped-for savior to lead mankind into a New Age.
Are we to believe that men as brilliant as Washington, Franklin, Adams, and Jefferson didn’t know about this?
Further, it appears that 19th century occultists were aware of the Mayan calendar, which ends on or about 12/21/12, and added those symbols inside the Capitol of the United States.
What does it all mean? We only scratch the surface during this hour-long discussion.

It led into 1 John, the hard verses, and what he describes as real freedom in Christ instead of a cloud of defeat.
