What’s up everybody?! A lot of people have been reaching out asking if the podcast was over. I would like to say no, but honestly, both John and I have a lot going on right now. I don’t want to speak for John, but as for me, the factory where I work announced they’ll be closing the plant sometime within the next year or two. That means while I have a job now, I won’t for much longer so I’m actively enrolling in trade school trying to get some certifications that look good on a resume. There’s a chance I could get offered a position in Fort Wayne IN but even if I did, my wife and kids don’t want to move. Honestly, I don’t either as that’s too far for me outside of the southeast and it’s not like I can count on that. Plus, I’m currently an active serving deacon at my church and while that doesn’t typically take up a lot of time, it’s one more thing along with working full time, class, and being a dad. I went ahead paused the Patreon last night because I’m not sure when or if we’ll be back. Maybe we’ll just take a break and come back. Maybe if we come back we'll try to do a YouTube show. Maybe instead, I’ll try and help my teenage son launch a YouTube gaming channel. Maybe we’ll both just never find our way back. There is just so much uncertainty right now and I don’t really know how the next couple of years are going to play out. The only thing I know for certain is it will be much different from the way things are now.
We do have at least one episode in raw audio on a hard drive that at some point I want to finish up and release. Also, I’d like to get with John and at least do one more and explain what’s going on with us. I really do miss the long conversations with John but I don’t miss all the other stuff that goes along with editing and producing a podcast. You can often feel like you’re just talking into a black hole and nobody cares, so it’s actually reassuring when people reach out. It feels good to give an update to someone who’s interested and I hope things are going well for you in your tiny corner of the world!

Globalism is Shifting Power From Nations to Corporations with Mike Steger - Sarah Westall Aug 23, 2026

Mike Steger of Promethean Action rejoins the Economic Review to examine the economics behind globalism and why he believes the model has become a losing proposition for the United States—and ultimately for nations around the world. Steger explains how globalization shifted production, capital and economic power across borders, hollowing out domestic industry while creating systems increasingly dependent on cheap labor and multinational corporate interests. We also discuss his argument that these economic incentives drive mass immigration policies that place additional pressure on prosperous nations while failing to create the productive investment needed to lift poorer countries out of poverty. Lastly, we examine a provocative development involving the World Bank and the changing role of multinational corporations in the international system. Steger explains what he describes as corporations attaining standing comparable to nations, how this changes the traditional relationship between corporations and sovereign governments, and why it matters for national sovereignty. What happens when enormous multinational corporations operate across borders with economic and institutional power rivaling that of countries themselves—and who ultimately has the power to set the rules?

Mary Holland, president of Children’s Health Defense, joins the program to discuss President Trump’s latest executive order amending the childhood vaccine schedule.
We examine the politics surrounding the order, who supports it, who is fighting it, and Holland’s thoughts on why the entire country—not just red states—could ultimately benefit from these changes. We also discuss what the order means for vaccine recommendations, mandates, parental choice, and the larger battle unfolding over the future of vaccine policy in America. We also discuss the newly FDA-approved Moderna mRNA flu vaccine for adults 50 and older and the troubling safety numbers surrounding its approval. Moderna’s own studies show an adverse side-effect rate of more than 75%, while an analysis of the data shows roughly 270 severe side effects for every one hospitalization the vaccine saves. The statistics couldn’t be much worse, yet the FDA approved its use. This follows on the heels of the Navy mandating the flu vaccine for specified personnel, after the broader military mandate had previously been lifted. What does this seemingly contradictory picture tell us about the agendas and policies now taking shape—and where are they ultimately headed?
