The Rhythms of a Healthy Soul Jul 07, 2025

Show notes

Do you struggle with the need for control, anxiousness, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or performance mentality? If so, there's so much good news for you!

In this message, The Rhythms of a Healthy Soul, Pastor Levi Lusko examines The Chosen's powerful portrayal of Martha and Mary, revealing the essential rhythms of a healthy soul and why sitting at Jesus' feet isn't selfish - it's necessary.

From The Chosen Season 4, Episode 5 "Sitting, Serving, Scheming" - witness the tension between Martha's elaborate dinner preparations and Mary's choice to sit at Jesus' feet as His disciple. This isn't about correcting hospitality, but about choosing the best thing over good things.

Scripture Focus: Luke 10:38-42

Discover why Jesus defended Mary's choice and gently corrected Martha's distraction. Set just six months before the cross, this scene in Bethany reveals what we all need: to learn the unforced rhythms of grace and find rest for our souls.

4 Lessons for a Healthy Soul:

Good things can keep you from the best things.
When you focus on others, you leave yourself unattended.
Work without worship is wearying.
When you lose your why, you lose your way.

Jesus' invitation: "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace."

The Miracle You Never Saw Coming Jun 30, 2025

Show notes

Think of an answer to prayer you never received, a time when you trusted God to do something and He didn't. A situation where you were disappointed by God. What are we to make of these instances where we had faith the size of a mustard seed to see a mountain move but it didn't budge?
In This Message, The Miracle You Never Saw Coming, Pastor Levi Lusko examines The Chosen's powerful portrayal of "Little James" being called to heal others while living with his own disability, revealing how God's power can flow through us even when we still limp.

From The Chosen Season 3, Episode 2 "Two by Two" - witness the tension of being commissioned to participate in healing you yourself have never experienced. This conversation between Jesus and Little James isn't directly in the Bible, but it's thoroughly biblical from Genesis to Revelation: power out of pain and strength out of weakness.

Scripture Focus: 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 & Luke 6:15

Discover what it means to have the power of God on your life but still limp through with the pains, heartaches, and difficulties of life. Like Paul's thorn in the flesh, sometimes God chooses to work through us but not for us. Could God be glorified by a trial He chooses to allow to remain?

3 Things You Must Know to Survive Saturday (the space between Good Friday and Easter):

Pain Is a Problem
Pain Has a Problem
Pain Is Not Your Problem

The miracle you never saw coming? The one that happens inside you. Sometimes the mountain that needs moving is inside you, and sustaining grace is every bit as miraculous as the signs and wonders we crave.
