You know we hate to say it, but welcome to our final episode of Season 1 of For Better And Worse Podcast. No fears - we will be back and better than ever on November 5th! This episode starts out with Rach telling an awkward story from an engagement session she did recently, and Jess gives a quick Certified Loverboy album review. Jess also rips into a current event before we get into reading some DMs from our listeners! The MEAT of today's episode is a reflection on our top episodes from Season 1. Rach lays out the advice they gave from those episodes and the girls add some new thoughts as they are now 6 months older and wiser. In true For Better And Worse fashion, shit gets real towards the end and the girls say their goodbyes to the first season of the best dang journey they've ever been on. We appreciate you all for being a part of this space and giving us the permission to take this time off so we can refresh, catch up, and plan for Season 2. Before Aaron shows up the girls catch up on the past 2 weeks without each other. Rach shares a stupid fight of the week, and Jess and Josh do some bonding over fashion advice. How would you dress your significant other if you had full control? The girls are approaching the busiest season on their careers, but are so stoked to have Aaron - the Wedding Connoisseur - on the pod to breathe life into this episode.
Aaron gives his tips on how to throw a great wedding party (other than hiring him and San, of course), and the girls pick his brain on all things DJ. We hear some wedding vendor horror stories, his take on line dances, playing oldies, and his general approach to making sure his couples have a kick ass time at their weddings. Welcome back to another episode where Jess and Rach give you semi-solicited wedding advice! The girls start off episode 33 with a bit of catch up going over a recent vehicular incident Rach participated in, and Jess's 30th birthday party shenanigans from the past weekend. Jess tries out a potential new segment idea - "current events" and tells Rach about a recent football fraud case that is sweeping the internet.
The meat for today's episode is all about bridal parties. Jess and Rach are reunited (at Jess's house due to a dog emergency) and it feels OH SO GOOD. Joe goes out of town and all hell breaks loose at the Husky House after Pickle gets spayed. Rach tells her tales of Dollywood with Laura and Sher and also has some burning questions for amusement park professionals. They are certainly in the THICK OF IT with wedding season, which inspired this episode - Dos and Don'ts for a dope ceremony! You know Jess and Rach are all about keeping things personal, but they give some solid practical advice from aisle runners to dealing with controlling parents. In the end you gotta do what's best for you, and we hope all of your wedding ceremonies and vow renewals are true representations of your love and commitment for one another.
