Ep. 13 - Serpent & Dove / Blood & Honey by Shelby Mahurin Aug 30, 2021

Show notes

In today’s episode, Anna, Kim & Kristina discuss the first two books in the Serpent & Dove trilogy! We all loved Serpent & Dove but had some *thoughts* on Blood & Honey, to say the least. This series has the most incredibly unique French setting that we absolutely adored, with a magic system that was cool but that we didn’t always understand 😂 🔮
From Reid & Lou’s relationship arc with both each other & magic, the hair dying incident 😬 & a really weird sword eating tree 🌳, we cover a lot of ground- including that this series DEFINITELY should have been a duology. Listen along as we discuss all of this + our book 3 theories! 🐍 🕊
🚨 SPOILER ALERT for Serpent & Dove, Blood & Honey, Throne of Glass, Six of Crows 🚨
⏳Timestamps:
Serpent and Dove: 1:36 - 31:26
Blood and Honey: 31:26 - 1:11:40
Book 3 Theories: 1:11:40 - 1:14:50

Ep. 12 - The Traitor Queen by Danielle L. Jensen Aug 11, 2021

Show notes

In today’s SPOILER FILLED episode join Anna, Kim and Kristina as they discuss Traitor Queen by Danielle Jensen. The sequel to The Bridge Kingdom, Traitor Queen follows Lara & our beloved Aren as they fight to save Ithicana from Lara’s father. Lara reunites with her badass assassin sisters to take down Maridrina & save Aren. This sequel starts off with a bang & never lets up! We’ve got battles, we’ve got more ginormous snakes (why) & a shark scene that truly terrifies us to our core (WHY Danielle WHY) 🦈 🐍 ⚔️

Listen along as we balance our Aren fan girling with our Aren hot takes, question the necessity of a very steamy albeit dirty (literally) scene at Nana’s house and share our theories / hopes for book 3! 💜
