Thanks for listening to today’s First15 Podcast. My name is Ryn, and I’m a part of the First15 Team. If you haven’t downloaded our brand new First15 app, make sure to click the link in today’s show notes to check it out! One of the new features that you can enjoy when you download the app is our Guided Prayers. We are adding new prayers to our library every month, so if you need a moment of peace with God, let these prayers be your guide!

In today’s First15 Podcast we wanted to give you a preview of a new Guided Prayer that our friend Nigel Wallace wrote titled, “A Prayer: Over Time … & The Times.” There’s a prayer from the early Church called “Oh Heavenly King” that reads, “O Heavenly King and Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, Who art everywhere present, and fillest all things, the Treasury of all blessings and Giver of Life, come and dwell in us, and purify us from every stain, and of Thy Goodness save our souls.” It’s hard sometimes to remember to look for God in everything. I think that’s oftentimes because our spirits aren’t at rest enough to lift our eyes and see where our help comes from … and to then see the very One who goes before us into everyplace that we walk. Nigel does a beautiful job of pointing us to scripture as he prays this prayer that reminds us not only of his promises, but of his presence. I pray that this prayer of truth and gratitude gives you both peace and courage in whatever you are facing today.

The Desire to be Delighted in Nov 14, 2022
    Show notes

All of us have insatiable desires that can only be satisfied in communion with our heavenly Father. The desire to be delighted in, for wonder, to behold glory, and to be someone great are driving forces within each of us. The desire to be fully know and fully loved, to be passionate, and to live a life of significance resound within each of us at the foundation of who we are. God created these desires knowing that they can only be fully satisfied in him—that they would be avenues to deeper relationship with him. As we look at each of these desires individually, I pray your heart would find its fulfillment in the loving nearness of your heavenly Father.

The main concept for this week is derived from The Seven Longings of the Human Heart by Mike Bickle and Deborah Hiebert.

Our Scripture for today comes from Isaiah 62:5, and today's worship is Mistakes by Influence Music.

Thanks for listening to the First15 Podcast. My name is Ryn, and I’m a part of the First15 Team. If you haven’t heard, we just launched a brand new First15 app, available now in your app store! One of the new features that you can enjoy when you download the app is our Guided Prayers. We’ve created unique guided prayers that are created specifically to help you connect with God in prayer wherever you are.

Today, we’re sharing a preview of a Guided Prayer I wrote titled, “Of Repentance.” What a gift it is that our God calls Himself our Father and invites us to bring all the wrongs that we’ve done and lay them down so that they no longer hinder us from the life He calls us to live. Taking inventory of our hearts in God’s presence is one way to experience deeper intimacy and freedom with Him. I pray this guided prayer helps you to do that today, friend. And I pray it serves as a template for your own prayers of repentance so that you can walk in the fullness of the life God has for you to live, free of the weights and chains that keep us bound.
