    FindJodi

Iowa television news anchor Jodi Huisentruit has been missing since June 27, 1995. The Long Prairie, Minnesota native is believed to have been abducted from the parking lot of her Mason City apartment complex between 4:00-4:30 on that early summer morning. She never showed up for work and has been missing ever since that day 25 years ago.

FindJodi.com, Inc. was developed in 2003 when former Television News Director Gary Peterson and News Anchor Josh Benson worked together near Mason City. They saw an opportunity to work on one of the biggest missing person cases in the Midwest: the disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit.

FindJodi.com is a not-for-profit effort which has grown into strong team of professionals in recent years. This is the official FindJodi.com podcast. Our mission is to raise awareness for Jodi’s case in the hopes of one day finding answers for her family.

The 11-year-old victim's name often comes up during discussions of Jodi Huisentruit's case.

    John Vansice Jan 14, 2021

John Vansice was a friend of Jodi Huisentruit's who spent some of the previous days with the missing TV anchorwoman before she disappeared on June 27, 1995.
The former Mason City, Iowa seed salesman was 22 years older than Jodi and his name is often discussed in her case.
Vansice told police that he showed Jodi a videotape at his home the night before she disappeared.
But what evidence, if any, supports his possible involvement in her abduction?

Conversation with Michelle Martinko Investigator Matt Denlinger Dec 30, 2020

A “48 Hours” episode last month raised questions about whether a Manchester, Iowa man convicted in February of murdering 18-year-old Michelle Martinko in Cedar Rapids 40 years ago might also be connected to the abduction of news anchor Jodi Huisentruit in 1995.
In this episode of the podcast, FindJodi team member Caroline Lowe interviews the lead detective on the Martinko case about the possibility of a link, and what might be done in the Huisentruit investigation to finally close that cold case as well.
