Episode 310: Sable, Death Stranding Director's Cut, Mario Movie Casting Sep 30, 2021

Show notes

The pastel desert stretches out before you. The hum of your hover-bike's engine is the only sound aside from the soft swish of the wind. You look up and see a winding tower, cast in shadow as the hot sun shines right behind it. You slowly begin the climb. Hours later, you haul yourself up over the precipice of the tower's top, and cast your gaze across the beautiful vista, coming to rest upon... three grown men yelling about video games. That's right cunnies, your Filthy boys are back talking games as we cover new indie Sable, the Outer Wilds' DLC, Death Stranding's new Director's Cut, Eastward thoughts and of course all the Mario casting analysis you'd expect from three kind and knowledgeable boys. Hope you enjoy!

Tickets to our October 16/17 LIVE ZOOM ONLINE LIVE SHOW PARTY are available here for just $10AUD: https://www.trybooking.com/BUNHA

Episode 309: Deathloop Review Sep 23, 2021

Show notes

It feels like a new time loop game comes out every day :) This time it's Deathloop and Tommy, Ben and Adam talk at length about why they reckon it's good. Also a little on Eastward, tomorrow's Nintendo Direct, and more. We've got a full episode with a spoiler-free review of Deathloop, and then after the end we turn off the lights, put the kids to bed, bang our knee on a coffee table, turn the lights back on, swear in front of our kids who haven't gone to bed yet, tell them they shouldn't say the bad word we just said, tell them because we said so, that's why, put them back to bed, turn the lights back off, close the curtains, bang our knee on the coffee table again, sit down in no mood for a bonus spoiler-filled Sealed Section at the end of the podcast, but do it anyway because this is the only damn time we get to ourselves, wonder whether we rushed into this parenting thing, pass out on the couch, wake up startled at 6am to see the carpet covered in jam because the kids tried to make breakfast, and start the loop all over again. Please enjoy.

Episode 308: WarioWare: Get It Together Review, PlayStation Showcase Sep 16, 2021

Show notes

When you really think about, isn't life a long series of short and confusing puzzles and challenges that repeat at random until you eventually die? Wow, WarioWare. You are deep. Also deep is the level of examination we give to last week's PlayStation showcase, as well as talking about some other things. Razer Finger Sleeves anyone? No? Ok, well just the rest of the episode then. Have fun!

Episode 305: Twelve Minutes Review (No Spoilers) Aug 26, 2021

Show notes

I've been writing this episode description every day for the equivalent of 10,000 years. The day keeps repeating, I try to write the description again, and every night the whole day starts again. I just can't get this description right. I've tried listing what games we talk about, like 12 Minutes, Humankind, the Quake remaster, the Ghost of Tsushima update. I've tried explaining that we talk about a couple of the things that have come out of Gamescom. I've tried writing a little joke description where maybe I'm writing about the episode as though I'm like, I dunno, a dog who is also in the house of the person who's listening and the dog is giving it a bad review because there aren't enough high pitched noises, but he does like Tommy's voice. I've even tried writing it out as a little meta joke like I'm fucken Rick and Morty over here. None of it has worked. Please, don't let me wake up in this hell again. I don't want to write another description. I just want to live. Oh also a bit about the WarioWare demo.

Episode 303: Indie World Showcase, The Ascent Aug 12, 2021

Show notes

In the world of music, a presentation full of nothing but new projects from Indie artists would be the most terrifying event I could picture myself suffering through. We have a look at a whole stack of new and soon to come indie games from the Nintendo showcase, including Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Toem, Garden Story, Metal Slug Tactics, Eastward and more. Episode 302: 2021 Mid-Year Review Aug 05, 2021

Show notes

We're halfway through the year baby! And then a little bit extra through the year on top of that but y'know, around half. And then means it's time to take stock and look back at what's come so far, and look forward to what's on its way. Looking backwards and forwards rapidly, trying to keep an eye on both on the same time, but injuring our necks by swinging our heads wildly from side to side. While recovering in our neck braces, we can reminisce about this episode of Filthy Casuals, which looked at some of the biggest bangers of 2021 so far and pretty much all of the best that is still to come for the second leg. Happy 5th of August everyone, the exact midpoint of the year!We competed in the Tokyo Olympics with our good friends Mario & Sonic, and you can watch the video of us doing that by following this link. We're doing a live show on the 7th of October at Comedy Republic in Melbourne, and you can book tickets right now through this link!Adam's streaming on Twitch regularly, you can follow his Twitch channel here. - Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy group - Bandcamp Premium Episodes - YouTube - including live streams and Let's Plays - Twitch

Episode 301: Death's Door Review, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles Jul 29, 2021

Show notes

You may be the judge of this courtroom, big anime beard guy, but when all is said and done there is no greater judge than Death. That is why this week we're talking Death's Door and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. It's not because they just both came out this week, it's because of the very deep and insightful connection between them that we've identified in that first sentence there. If you don't think it's deep it's because you don't actually get it, ok? It's super deep. Also Microsoft Flight Simulator on the Xbox and some news. Those are also connected somehow.

We played some of said Flight Simulator, flying from Melbourne, Australia to Tokyo, Japan, and you can watch that video over on our YouTube channel via this connecting flight (link).
