Manslaughter – Vikrant Thakur
Vikrant Thakur, 42, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of his wife Supriya Thakur but not guilty to murder. The case is ongoing, with further court proceedings scheduled.

Suspicious Death – Velvet Pesu
Velvet Pesu, a 46-year-old carer in Buccan, QLD, was found dead during a welfare check. A 36-year-old man, known to her, has been arrested in NSW and may be extradited to face murder charges.

Suspicious Discovery – Phillip Island Human Remains
Police are investigating after a human skull was found in a Phillip Island backyard. Forensic testing is underway, and the discovery has reignited attention on the 1986 disappearance of Vivienne Cameron.

In December 1996, a family-run jewellery business in Melbourne’s Century Building, on Swanston Street, became the focus of a serious police investigation. A father, mother, and son were working together in their office when a violent incident occurred. A man was present at the scene and reported what he had experienced, prompting investigators to piece together exactly what had happened.

Nearly twenty years earlier, in March 1978, another Swanston Street building, the Manchester Unity Building, was the scene of a separate violent incident involving jewellers and a customer. Both cases took place in busy city-centre offices and required detailed police investigations to establish the circumstances and sequence of events.

The Bondi Terror Attack Dec 28, 2025

Bondi Beach, Sydney. One of Australia’s most recognisable coastal locations. A public beach on the eastern edge of the city, bordered by residential streets, parks, and a large pedestrian promenade. Routinely crowded, particularly in summer, it regularly hosts public events.
The beach sits beside Archer Park and the Bondi Pavilion, an area commonly used for festivals and community gatherings. The space is open, exposed, and visible from surrounding roads and elevated walkways.
On the evening of 14 December 2025, a public event was underway. Around one thousand people were present. Families, children, elderly couples. The beach remained open. The sun was still up.
At 6:47 p.m., gunfire began.

Christmas Day Murder - The Case of Darren Wake Dec 26, 2025

Christmas is usually a time of warmth, family, and celebration—a time when loved ones come together to share meals, exchange gifts, and make memories. But for the Wake family in Tasmania, the holiday of 2021 would be anything but ordinary. Tensions that had been simmering for years between Darren and his former wife, Rachel, came to a devastating head. What should have been a day of joy and togetherness instead became a day of fear, anger, and unimaginable loss—a Christmas that would leave scars on everyone involved, especially their children.
Darren and Rachel Wake married in 2001. They separated ten years later, in 2011, and divorced in 2012. In the years that followed, their relationship remained difficult, particularly around parenting arrangements for their son, Gabriel, who had been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
In 2016, the Family Court made formal parenting orders, establishing a shared custody arrangement—one week with each parent. Over time, that arrangement shifted, as the children grew older and began to exercise their own judgment about where they wished to live.
In mid-2019, when Romany turned seventeen, she chose to live with her mother full-time. Between 2020 and 2021, Gabriel lived with Darren full-time for approximately twelve months. This arrangement occurred at Darren’s insistence.
In April 2021, Gabriel decided he wanted to return to living with his mother full-time. He told others his decision was driven by Darren’s behaviour—behaviour he experienced as angry, aggressive, and emotionally manipulative. Gabriel became frightened of his father, and he later said that Rachel had also expressed fear of Darren. Those fears would prove to be well-founded.

Recorded as the judge delivers final remarks, the audio captures the gravity of the proceedings.
In January 2024, a young woman reported being sexually assaulted at a private residence in Melbourne’s inner east. The allegations related to events that occurred late at night, after a social gathering, inside a bedroom where the complainant believed she was alone.
The prosecution case was that Tom Silvagni entered the room, deliberately misled the complainant as to who he was, and carried out sexual acts without consent. The court later heard that, in the days following the incident, steps were taken to obscure what had occurred, including attempts to alter records and shape a false timeline.
Silvagni was charged later that year. For much of the legal process, strict suppression orders prevented his identification or any reporting of his family background. Those orders were eventually lifted, and the matter proceeded to trial in the Victorian County Court.
At trial, the defence denied the allegations and challenged the complainant’s account. The jury ultimately rejected that version of events. In December, Silvagni was found guilty on two counts of rape.
What follows is the court’s final response to those verdicts — the sentencing remarks delivered in open court. There is no commentary, no interpretation, and no embellishment. Just the words of the judge, explaining how the law assessed the offending, the harm caused, and the punishment imposed.

Felon: Debrief - Episode 11 - 30th November 2025 Dec 04, 2025

NSW Triple Murder (Kwang Kyung Yoo) – Taekwondo instructor Yoo pleaded guilty to killing Min Cho, her husband Steven, and a seven-year-old boy in North Parramatta and Baulkham Hills in February 2024. Families gave victim-impact statements in court, describing the lasting trauma. Police have not identified a clear motive but noted Yoo’s history of lying about achievements and possessions. Sentencing is ongoing.
Perth Cyber Offender (Michael Clapsis) – Clapsis, 44, was sentenced to seven years and four months after admitting to stealing intimate images from 17 women over six years and using a fake Qantas Wi-Fi network to capture passenger data. Victim statements highlighted the long-term impact, and Clapsis’s autism diagnosis and job loss were noted.
Missing Man in Mackay (Wayne Pedro Morseu) – Police declared two properties crime scenes as they investigate the suspicious disappearance of 71-year-old Morseu, missing since November 10. Detectives are examining both properties and asking the public for information.
Melbourne School Stabbing (Aaron Sykes) – Principal Aaron Sykes was stabbed at Keysborough Secondary College but suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, known to Sykes, was arrested, and the school briefly went into lockdown. Investigation is ongoing.
Darwin Murder Conviction (Brendan Kantilla) – Kantilla was found guilty of murdering 23-year-old student Isfaqur Rahman in May 2023, who was attacked in his share house with a paving stone and fire extinguisher. The defence’s diminished-responsibility claim was rejected. Sentencing is forthcoming.
Sea World Helicopter Collision Inquest (Ashley Jenkinson) – Helicopter pilot Jenkinson, who died in a midair collision in January 2023 along with three others, had a history of cocaine use and a recent mental breakdown. Inquest testimony suggests he was unlikely impaired at the time; the investigation continues.
Bevan Spencer von Einem (Adelaide Child Murders) – Von Einem, 79, convicted of murdering 15-year-old Richard Kelvin, remains silent about other suspected victims linked to “The Family” killings in the late 1970s–1980s. His failing health has reignited public reflection on the unsolved cases.
Chris Robertson Investigation (Adelaide) – Police seized a Mitsubishi Triton linked to the September 2024 death of 49-year-old Robertson, found assaulted in a warehouse. Forensic analysis of the vehicle is underway as investigators pursue multiple leads.

2. Ray McCormack Murder – Wollongong, NSW
Aaron Michael Lord, 38, was found not criminally responsible for the murder of 68-year-old homeless man Ray McCormack, whose body was discovered in a train station stairwell on May 12, 2024. Evidence, including security footage and psychological reports, confirmed Lord, diagnosed with schizophrenia, attacked McCormack under the influence of persistent hallucinations. The court acknowledged the tragic circumstances, and Lord remains in custody under the Mental Health Review Tribunal.
3. Ms Skeen Murder – Jilkminggan, NT
Steven John, 48, was found guilty of murdering his wife, Ms Skeen, during a drunken domestic dispute in July 2023, despite his claim of provocation. Felon: Debrief - Episode 8 - 9th November 2025 Nov 10, 2025

1. Logan Road Rage Verdict
Umar Al Enizi, 24, has been found not guilty of murder over the 2021 death of Troy Vandenberg during a Brisbane road rage incident. The court heard the fatal collision followed escalating confrontations and aggressive behaviour by Vandenberg. The jury accepted Al Enizi acted in self-defence, acquitting him of murder and manslaughter.
2. “Bike Boy” Lawsuit Against Daniel Andrews
Ryan Meuleman, who was 17 at the time of a 2013 collision involving Daniel Andrews’ family car, has filed a civil lawsuit against the former Victorian premier and his wife. The case, tied to longstanding controversy over police handling and political influence, alleges serious injuries caused by the Andrews family. Details of the proceedings remain limited.
3. Erin Patterson Appeals Conviction

A 44-year-old man has been charged with the murder and coercive control of 38-year-old Claire Austin, who died after sustaining injuries inside her Randwick unit in April. Strike Force Lyndoch is investigating, and the accused is due in court shortly.
7. Liverpool Murder Conviction
Danny Zayat has been found guilty of murdering his ex-girlfriend Tatiana Dokhotaru in Liverpool in 2023. Dokhotaru, 34, was killed in front of her four-year-old son. Zayat faces sentencing in December, with the victim’s friend expected to deliver a statement.
8. Simone Strobel Cold Case
An inquest confirms German backpacker Simone Strobel was murdered in 2005 in Lismore, NSW, though her killer remains unknown. The coroner recommended further DNA testing on two unmatched samples. Nathan McPherson Murder: In August 2023, Nathan McPherson, 43, was killed in a one-punch attack in Maryborough by Joshua Berrigan, who was already on bail for grievous bodily harm. On the evening of October 30th, 2010, seventeen-year-old Eden Delir attended a Halloween party in Restwell Road, Bossley Park. It was a typical suburban gathering — organised through Facebook, and attended by dozens of teenagers, most of whom had never met before that night.
As the invitations spread online, so did the reach of the event. Posts began circulating suggesting that a group of young men from Campbelltown intended to attend, bringing with them drugs and alcohol.
It was enough to draw the attention of another group — young males from the Wakeley area — who claimed they were going to the party to “keep the peace” if the Campbelltown boys showed up.
They arrived uninvited.
Witnesses later described the group as being of Middle Eastern appearance — known locally as the Wakeley boys.Their arrival shifted the tone of the gathering.
What began as a social event had become a volatile mix of unfamiliar faces, teenage bravado, and alcohol.

In Perth, a former soldier admitted killing Rebels bikie Nick Martin, calling it a “community service,” while his alleged employer, David Pye, faces multiple murder charges. Canberra police allege a 78-year-old man was held captive and beaten for three days by a visitor.

A livestreamed attack, a manifesto sent in advance, weapons modified and named like trophies. The killer had called himself a “regular white man.”
This is the tragic account of the Christchurch Mosque Shootings.
Christchurch, the largest city on New Zealand’s South Island, had long been known for its wide avenues, English-style gardens, and rivers threading through urban suburbs. In 2011, the city had been reshaped by a devastating earthquake, leaving scars that were still visible in patches of rebuilt infrastructure and partially vacant lots.
The Al Noor Mosque sat in the suburb of Riccarton, a residential area interspersed with schools, small businesses, and community spaces. Its low-slung brick façade and modest minaret presented nothing threatening; the mosque blended into the surrounding streets, quiet and unassuming, bordered by leafy roads and modest homes.
The Linwood Islamic Centre, located several kilometres east of Riccarton, occupied a similar suburban setting. The building was unpretentious, a simple hall with windows opening onto a modest lawn and parking area. Both sites were integrated into ordinary city streets, surrounded by daily life: parked cars, pedestrians, children walking home from school, and neighbours going about their routines. The city moved in its usual rhythm, even under the oppressive weight of the late afternoon humidity. The tropical heat clung to streets and buildings like a wet blanket. The scent of saltwater drifted from the harbour, mingling with the faint aroma of frangipani and tropical blooms.
Palm trees lined the streets, swaying gently in a warm breeze that carried the distant hum of cicadas.
Tourists shuffled back toward motels after long days exploring the waterfront, the markets, and the lush greenery of the botanical gardens. Some paused at street-side cafes for a final iced coffee, wiping sweat from their foreheads, unaware that the ordinary rhythm of the city was about to fracture.
At the Palms Motel on Finniss Street, tucked among low-rise units and tropical foliage, that calm shattered in an instant.
A deafening shotgun blast tore through the air, rattling windows and walls, a violent punctuation against the ordinary hum of city life. Guests screamed and scattered, pressed themselves against bathroom tiles, and crawled beneath beds, clutching whatever they could grab. Each blast ricocheted down narrow corridors, bouncing off walls, doors, and mirrors, creating a chaotic, terrifying symphony that seemed to stretch the moments into eternity.
The gunman moved deliberately through the motel, a pump-action shotgun clutched firmly in his hands. His heavy boots thumped against the worn carpet, deliberate, steady. His voice cut through the panic, sharp and demanding:
“Where’s Alex? Where the fuck is Alex?”
Guests froze, faces pale with shock. Every hallway became a trap. Every doorway a potential threat. The air vibrated with fear, broken only by the echoing blasts and the frantic cries of those caught in the corridor.

On the surface, life continued with the quiet routines of suburbia: parents shuttling children to school, office workers commuting in and out of the city, cafés buzzing with their usual morning trade. But beneath that familiar order was a darker rhythm, one that pulsed through the streets with a steady, violent beat.
Carparks became stages for ambushes. Cafés, places once known for coffee and conversation, were transformed into theatres of bloodshed. Even nightclubs, where music drowned out the city’s worries, became hunting grounds where enemies could be cornered and executed. Every public space, no matter how ordinary, carried the weight of possibility—that the next spray of bullets might erupt without warning.
The struggle for power played out like a game of chess. Pieces shifted across the board—sometimes with patience, sometimes with violence—each move carrying the weight of risk and reward. On June 21st, 2005, the body of Kristy Scholes was discovered in the bedroom of her grandparents’ home in West Dubbo, New South Wales. She was twenty-four years old, living with her partner and young daughter. Police quickly determined that she had been strangled, and the circumstances of her death were immediately alarming. The home showed no signs of forced entry, and nothing appeared to have been stolen, suggesting that the perpetrator had a familiarity with the house or its occupants. Kristy’s partner had been absent at the time, leaving questions about who could have accessed the property and how the crime had been committed without interruption.
The shock of the discovery rippled through the Dubbo community. Neighbours and friends struggled to reconcile the violence of the act with the normalcy of suburban life. For investigators, the case presented immediate challenges. They needed to consider not just potential intruders or opportunistic offenders, but also those who had pre-existing connections to the family. Given the nature of the crime, attention quickly turned to individuals known to the household—family members, close friends, or acquaintances—anyone with the means and opportunity to commit such an act. Earlier that year, on January 4th, 2005, another member of the extended family, Lateesha Nolan, had disappeared under circumstances that were, at the time, equally confounding. Lateesha was also twenty-four and a mother of four children. She had been last seen leaving her home in Dubbo to run errands, and when she did not return, immediate concern arose among her family. Within hours, relatives began contacting authorities, describing her sudden absence and the unusual nature of her disappearance.
As the investigation unfolded, the community watched closely. Rumours circulated, sightings were reported and discounted, and the tension in Dubbo grew. Two women, both young, both connected to the same family network, were either missing or dead. The reasons for their suffering were unknown, and the question of who could have committed such acts—and why—loomed over every lead, every interview, and every search. It was the beginning of an investigation that would stretch for years, involve multiple law enforcement agencies, and eventually expose the extraordinary lengths one man would go to evade capture.

But by the early 2000s, that fragile equilibrium began to shift, slowly at first, then with a sudden, irreversible momentum.

At first, it seemed unremarkable—just another vehicle left overnight. But as the jogger approached, something felt wrong. The car’s engine was silent, yet it hadn't been abandoned. At the base of an external set of stairs to a second floor apartment, lying on the ground was 25 year old, Michael Phillip Martin. Michael was bound at the hands and feet and blindfolded with gaffer tape, struggling to move and calling out for help.
Scott quickly approached him and removed the tape.

On the 8th of September, 2013, at approximately 2.30am, Jean Redmond stirred from her sleep to the sound of shuffling coming from the room of her flat mate. As she listened closely, she could hear faint scratching, similar to the scratching of chalk on a board. This scratching was soon followed by a thump, then a mumbling which became what sounded like snoring except it was different from the usual sound of snoring that she was used to hearing. It seemed louder. Jean had previous woken up when her flatmate Morgan Huxley had entered his room around an hour earlier. She had assumed he had gone to sleep and she tried to do the same. But now this strange series of noises had stirred her.
After around 5 minutes the irregular snoring had not stopped.
Jean got out of bed and made her way to the nearby room to investigate. The scene waiting for her only metres from where she had been sleeping would be horrific.

Dearne Louise Nonnenmacher was born on the 4th January 1972. In 1990 she was eighteen and living with her family and working as trainee chef at the Robin Hood Hotel. She had shared with family her dreams for the future and looked forward to the day she could work as a chef on a cruise liner.

On Christmas day of 1990, like many families, the Nonnenmacher family gathered together to celebrate with a Christmas lunch. Little did her family know that this would be the last time they would see their beloved Dearne.

By boxing day, Dearne's family had not heard from her and made repeated attempts to reach out. Feeling uneasy about her sudden disappearance and lack of contact they soon reported her missing at the Orange Police Station. ..

S3 Ep6: The Belanglo Forest Axe Murder Nov 29, 2018

Located south 2 hours south west of the NSW capital of Sydney, is an area of known as the Southern Highlands. If you travel 3 kms west from the Hume Highway that runs through this region you will soon end up in the towering trees of the Belanglo State Forest.

The title of the forest ‘Belanglo’, has become synonymous with the callous serial killings of several young backpackers who died at the hands of Ivan Milat.

From 1989 to 1993 this tranquil forest would become a dumping ground for Milat. Over a series of searches authorities would discover the remains of 7 individuals who had fallen victim to Milat while hitchhiking through the region.

Despite this gruesome history and the negative association with its name, Belanglo forest has still continued to be used as a popular recreational destination for trail bike riders, 4 wheel drive enthusiasts, and campers.

But despite locals and tourists alike trying to shake the memory of Milat, In 2010 a disturbing event would bring the names Belanglo and Milat to the media spotlight once again.

On the 8th of December 1987, Frank Vitkovic, armed with high powered, sawn off rifle, shot indiscriminately at unsuspecting office workers as he moved through the Australia Post Building at 191 Queen Street in the Melbourne CBD.

8 lives were cut down at the hands of Vitkovic in a brutal attack that lasted 17 minutes.

During Vitkovic's frenzied attack Police gathered in the street below. They had received an alert from the building when a worker inside had triggered the bank alarm. Initially assuming they were dealing with an armed robbery they swooped on the scene. But as a shots echoed from the floors above they soon realized that were not dealing with a robbery.

On January 29 2009, Arthur Freeman was driving his three children across the West Gate Bridge in Melbourne. It would be his 4-year-old daughter, Darcey’s first day of school. Unfortunately she would never make it. For reasons no one would ever be able to explain, Freeman calmly exits his vehicle with Darcey in his arms and tosses her off the bridge. Freeman goes back to his car with his other two children inside and drives away. It would not be long before Freeman is apprehended, arrested and charged with the little girl’s murder. What would cause a loving, doting father to murder his own daughter?

Friday the 18th August 2000. Two weeks after Mark Van Krevel was sentenced, police were called to a home in Albion Park. It was a home that they had visited before. The scene that greeted them there, inside the master bedroom, seemed reminiscent of the horror inflicted by Mark Van Krevel. In the room a man was discovered kneeling beside the bed. He was slumped over with his head and chest resting on the mattress with arms hanging alongside his torso. He was covered in blood and naked. His back and head had received extensive wounds. Twenty five chop wounds in total to the neck and head had left his neck partially severed. There were also multiple stab wounds and lacerations inflicted to the torso blood covered the bedding and curtains. At the foot of the bed close to the victim’s body lying side by side were a hatchet a large kitchen knife and a fire poker. All of which were covered in blood. Crime was low and it seemed that everyone trusted those around them. It wouldn’t be long before a string of violent and seemingly unrelated crimes would make them question this trust and turn a once quiet and peaceful city in to panicked frenzy.
