#9: Start your sustainable fashion business with Cindy Liberman of Lara Intimates Nov 17, 2017
    Show notes

On episode #9 of Fashion Originators, I chat with Cindy Liberman -- one of the founders behind sustainable lingerie brand Lara Intimates. Lara Intimates not only make their bras here in London (with employees paid a living-wage), but the garments themselves are also made with industry off-cut fabrics. Unlike most lingerie fashion brands, Lara Intimates offer a wide range of sizes (28A to 36E), and focus every aspect of their business on creating 'a product with better values that women actually want to wear.'

On the episode, I speak with Cindy about founding Lara Intimates with London College of Fashion classmate Faith Leeves, how to build a sustainable fashion brand, and why the lingerie industry needs to change NOW.

#8 The art of fashion partnerships with Hugo Taylor & Charlie Morris of Taylor-Morris eyewear Nov 10, 2017
    Show notes

On episode #8 of Fashion Originators, I chat with Hugo Taylor and Charlie Morris, the founders of Taylor-Morris eyewear. Although you may know Hugo Taylor from British reality show Made in Chelsea, he's actually known for a lot more than that. After building a mutual affinity for eyewear with his best friend, Charlie Morris, they decided to start a brand together -- Taylor-Morris.

On the episode, I quiz the boys on their founding story (hint: it involves a villa in Ibiza and a Harvey Nichols buyer who loves The Smiths), knowing 'nothing' about business, and the future of eyewear.

#7: How to start a fashion app with Cashmere founder Urenna Okonkwo Nov 03, 2017
    Show notes

On episode #7 of Fashion Originators, I chatted with Urenna Okonkwo, the founder of soon-to-be-released fashion app "Cashmere." After discovering a pair of dreamy Christian Louboutin heels with a not-so-dreamy price tag, Urenna devised "Cashmere" -- a luxury savings app. Through Cashmere, Urenna lets users set a monthly savings plan, which transfers small amounts of money to a secure "luxury savings" account.

On the episode, Urenna and I discuss: starting an app 101, the future of millennial spending, and why Cashmere should be right next to Instagram on your phone.

#6: Turn your fashion club into a company with LABEL founder Jo Boon Oct 27, 2017
    Show notes

On episode #6 of Fashion Originators, I chatted with Jo Boon, the founder of body positive student fashion show -- and now company -- LABEL. Although LABEL initially started as a body positive fashion show at the University of St Andrews, it has since morphed into a multidimensional brand (encompassing art events, a magazine, merchandise etc).

During out chat, we reminisce about our time at St Andrews (we're both alumni), the future of the body positive fashion business, and of course -- what Jo has planned next. I hope you enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed speaking with Jo.

    Show notes

On episode #5 of Fashion Originators, I chatted with Chloe Marlow, the founder of fashion brand Marlow London. After realizing that all her friends at Central Saint Martins wanted to buy her final-year project, Chloe knew she was onto something. Combining her love of luxury with a great sense of humour (and a little sprinkle of law of attraction), Chloe brought her line of laser cut totes and cheeky scarves to life.

In the episode, we discuss a wide range of topics:

    - The early days of founding a brand

    - Dealing with suppliers and manufacturing

    - Devising a cohesive brand concept

    - Mindset

    - Building relationships with influencers / celebrities

#4: Grow your fashion brand with LNDR founders Sarah Donnelly and Donna Harris Oct 13, 2017
    Show notes

For episode #4 of Fashion Originators, I had the privilege of speaking to the founders of fashion brand LNDR, Sarah Donnelly and Donna Harris. Founded by Sara Donnelly, Donna Harris and Joanna Turner, LNDR is THE high-performance lifestyle brand for chic women on-the-go. Stocked by the likes of Net-a-Porter, Matches Fashion, Selfridges Body Studio and Harvey Nichols, it’s safe to say that it’s a favourite amongst the luxury set [like Gigi Hadid, Toni Garn, Sophia Richie, Jasmine Saunders].

During the episode, we primarily discuss the art of growing your brand without losing momentum. Of all the originators I've met, the ladies behind LNDR have managed to not only grow quickly, but to also sustain and build on this growth.

Thank you for listening! As its still early days of the podcast, I would LOVE your feedback.

#3: Fashion Youtube and American Fashion criticism with YouTuber HauteleMode Sep 28, 2017
    Show notes

For episode #3 of Fashion Originators, I had the pleasure of chatting with YouTuber Luke Meagher AKA HauteleMode. Luke is an 'originator' to me because no channel like his exists. On his channel, Luke critiques runway shows and fashion news in an informative and unpretentious way.

During the episode, we discuss not only the ins and outs of YouTube, but also the future of blogging and American fashion on the whole. Thank you for listening! As its still early days of the podcast, I would LOVE your feedback.

#2: Creating a visionary fashion business with Lululemon founder Chip Wilson Sep 14, 2017
    Show notes

In the first official episode of "Fashion Originators", I speak with Lululemon founder Chip Wilson about the fashion brand's early days, 'crazy ideas', and the non-fashion books that will change your life.

    Books recommended:

    "The Prince" by Machiavelli

"Good to Great" by Jim Collins

    "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand

"The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement" by E.M. Goldratt

Thank you for listening! As this is the first episode, I would absolutely love your feedback in the comments. What did you like most about the interview?
