Unpacking the Packers (Guest: 4for4's John Paulsen) Jun 20, 2018

Show notes

Hey, welcome to the debut edition of the podcast! After some snappy lead-in music by the band International Jet Set, host Pat Fitzmaurice (@Fitz_FF) of TheFootballGirl.com introduces himself and brings in producer Colm Kelly (@OvertimeIreland) for a chat. Guest John Paulsen (@4for4_John) of 4for4.com then joins the show (6:00), and he and Pat discuss John’s college basketball career under legendary coach Bo Ryan (7:44). John, an ace player ranker, yields insight into the process of doing player rankings in his legendary “rankings cave” (12:45). Looking ahead to the 2018 season, Pat and John talk about where Andrew Luck should be ranked now that he’s throwing again (16:41) and how closely the ranking of T.Y. Hilton is tied to Luck’s health (18:38). John and Pat list their top 10 running backs (19:50) and try to pinpoint where Saquon Barkley should be ranked. And since Pat and John are both fans of the Green Bay Packers, there’s some conversation about the Packers from a fantasy perspective, including the murky RB situation (25:28), Jimmy Graham’s potential upside (28:41) and the value of the Green Bay receivers (30:14).
