On this episode of the Out of Chicago Podcast, Chris Smith talks about all of the upcoming Out of Chicago conferences, including next October’s Out of Acadia Conference.
The second annual Out of Chicago Winter Conference will run February 18-19, 2017. Chris mentions some of the classes that will be offered, as well as some of the shooting experiences. Look for additional details and registration coming soon!
For the fourth year, the Out of Chicago Summer Conference will run June 23-25, 2017, with David Duchemen as the keynote speaker on Friday night. Registration is already open; additional details will be announced in the coming weeks.
But what we’re most excited about is the Out of Acadia Conference — a one-of-a-kind photography experience taking place at Acadia National Park!
Out of Acadia will be our first-ever landscape-oriented photography event. Chris mentions multiple locations throughout the park to look forward to, from the gardens to the mountains and shores of Bar Harbor.
The event takes place October 1-5, 2017 in Bar Harbor, Maine, right outside of Acadia National Park. Excursions, sessions, a daily group meal and more are all included — you even get to experience an authentic Maine lobster boil!
We already have some great instructors lined up, including Nick Page, Bryan Peterson and Colleen Miniuk-Sperry, author of Photographing Acadia National Park.
Super Early Bird registration is open until Saturday at midnight, offering registration for $995 (with a $500 deposit). By signing up for the Super Early Bird, you’ll get an exclusive online class, a private night excursion at the conference and more. After Saturday night (tomorrow), the price will increase to $1249, so don’t forget to register today!
If you have any other questions, be sure to check out our Out of Acadia FAQ, which will give you a complete run-down of the plan for Acadia!
