First up, an extended conversation with Zane Kirby - President and CEO of the American Society of Travel Advisors - on arrogant airlines, price gouging, traveler demand, and how some airlines may be trying to squeeze out travel advisors, not to mention you. During the pandemic, many travel advisors worked without any compensation to get refunds for their clients, and many lost money, in terms of commissions they never received. Then, there's the thorny subject of the lack of transparency with so many airlines' frequent flyer programs. Lastly, Eben Peck - Executive Vice President of Advocacy at ASTA - expands on the law of supply and demand and how consolidating airlines leaves you with less choices and surging ticket prices.
