In this sermon, John MacArthur examines 1 Thessalonians 5:18, where Paul instructs believers to "In everything give thanks." MacArthur emphasizes that gratitude should be a constant aspect of the Christian life, regardless of circumstances. He contrasts this with the ungratefulness characteristic of unbelievers, highlighting that thankfulness is a distinguishing mark of believers. By recognizing God's sovereignty and His work in all situations, Christians are called to express gratitude in every circumstance

In this sermon, Pastor John MacArthur delves into Colossians 1:12–14, highlighting the profound reasons Christians have for gratitude. He emphasizes that believers should be thankful for their salvation, which includes being qualified to share in the inheritance of the saints, being delivered from the domain of darkness, and being transferred into the kingdom of God's beloved Son. MacArthur underscores that these aspects of salvation are central to the Christian faith and serve as the primary sources of a believer's thankfulness.
