Excuse My Grandma's Real Talk On The Holidays Dec 04, 2025
    Show notes

Kim and Grandma Gail are back in New York after a little Florida stint, settling into holiday season real talk with St. Francis Winery. Kim shares how their family can feel like a reality show on Thanksgiving, while Grandma dives into why older generations “just blurt it out”. Together, they break down the biggest tension points of the holidays — from dating questions to appearance comments to political disagreements — and how to actually survive them with humor, thoughtful pivots, and, of course, a good glass of wine.

In The Rewind, they discuss movies that the whole family can agree and bond over during the holidays. The episode wraps up with a Should We Bring It Back? on controversial holiday songs and an Ask Grandma Anything on boundaries, gift budgets, friend drama, and navigating your first holiday without someone you love.

Excuse My Grandma’s Start of Palm Beach Season and How We Stay Close From Miles Apart Nov 13, 2025
    Show notes

Kim and Gail tape the podcast on a video call, even though it was not easy getting Grandma to join! They catch up long-distance and slide straight into Palm Beach season: hot dogs at The Breakers, golf-course etiquette, and the absurdity of a “restaurant hawk.” Kim ranks New York’s matzo ball soups (Sarge’s takes the lead), debriefs a month of being sick, and recaps her parents’ 35th anniversary—sparking a debate on checks vs. sentimental gifts. There’s Mahjong-party planning, snowbird “welcome week” for the 50-plus crowd, and real talk on staying close across generations with calls, voicemails, and social media.

They hit the Drama Club with Kris Jenner’s Bond-night 70th birthday at Bezos’ house and muse on milestone birthdays. Nostalgia gets a fresh spin with Eloise at the Plaza headed for a live-action film with Ryan Reynolds. In the Rewind, Kim and Gail talk about bingeing Nobody Wants This and Kim cops to enjoying All’s Fair—Kim K’s legal soap—despite the reviews. The episode wraps with Should We Bring It Back?: Florida Nostalgia Edition, and an Ask Grandma Anything covering Wicked tickets, how to actually make new friends, and chic black flats that don’t read “grandma” (think brands like Sam Edelman, Larroude, and styles like Mary Janes, square or pointy toes, suede or croc).

Excuse My Grandma as We Roast & Reminisce with Jeff Ross Sep 11, 2025
    Show notes

The Roast of Excuse My Grandma! In this episode, Kim and Grandma Gail are joined by comedian, Roastmaster General, and now Broadway star, Jeff Ross.

After playing Jewish Geography in the outtakes, Jeff talks about his new show, Take A Banana For The Ride (running until September 29th). The comedian puts himself and his family on stage, hoping to share stories of his past. How he knew he could do this? Being the funny guy in unfunny situations.

He tells Kim and Grandma Gail how this show has helped him talk through grief and resilience. It's a tribute to his parents, grandparents, and friends that have passed.

Kim, Grandma, and Jeff also talk about family heirlooms, their favorite Jewish inventions (Grandma's is brisket), and who Jeff would still love to roast.

They then answer AGA questions about mean in-laws, the surprising place to find a nice guy in NYC, and what to do if you're looking for love in your 50s.
