    Joel Salatin Dec 24, 2019
    Show notes

Joel Salatin calls himself a ‘Christian libertarian environmentalist capitalist lunatic farmer’. Others who like him call him the most famous farmer in the world, the high priest of the pasture, and the most eclectic thinker from Virginia since Thomas Jefferson. Those who don’t like him call him a bio-terrorist, Typhoid Mary, charlatan, and starvation advocate.

With a room full of debate trophies from high school and college days, twelve published books, and a thriving multi-generational family farm, he draws on a lifetime of food, farming and fantasy to entertain and inspire audiences around the world. He’s as comfortable moving cows in a pasture as he is addressing CEOs in a Wall Street business conference.

A wordsmith and master communicator, he prefers to describe his lectures as word performance rather than presentation, and moves audiences from laughs one minute to tears the next, from frustration to hopefulness, often receiving standing ovations. He prefers the word ‘performance’ rather than ‘presentation’ to describe his lectures. His favorite activity?–Q&A. “I love the interaction,” he says.

He co-owns, with his family, Polyface Farm in Swoope, Virginia. The farm, which was featured in the New York Times bestseller Omnivore’s Dilemma and award-winning documentary Food Inc. and The Magic Pill.

In this episode, Joel will share with us:

    • the importance of nurturing the soil, and the farming practices that best do this
    • the environmental cost of farming animals versus that of growing monocrops

Alyse Parker is a mindful, generous new generation health advocate who is sharing her own journey towards long term, sustainable health the only way she knows how - by being her authentic self, and being equally curious and vulnerable in the process of her discovery.

In this episode, Alyse will share with us:

    • Her journey from following and promoting a vegan lifestyle to where she is now.
    • The effect her change in diet had on the community around her, and her approach to her identity

    Tom Cronin Dec 02, 2019
    Show notes

Tom Cronin spent 26 years in finance markets as one of Sydney’s leading bond and swap brokers.

He discovered meditation in the early stages of his career, when the anxiety and chaos he was experiencing hit a crisis point. Meditation completely transformed his world, both personally and professionally.

Today Tom is passionate about reducing stress and chaos in people’s lives, and helping them to find peace and calm.

In this episode, Tom will share with us:

    • How does meditation help us come to terms with our capacity for good and bad as beings given the brilliant gift of being human?
    • How do you know when you’ve meditated successfully?
    • How we can open ourselves up to the power of meditation.
    • How we’re programming people for failure, and how to let go of this.

Tom also dropped this brilliant thought on us:

“The truth is we’re already enlightened, and the seeker that is seeking is actually the impediment to what you already are.”
