In the latest episode of the Three Stars podcast, the guys move a bit outside the world of recruiting to discuss Florida State’s spring transfer portal entries, where else on the roster there could be departures, then finish with a few predictions on which positions FSU may look to bolster with transfers over the spring summer.

Seminoles softball: FSU continues to dominate schedule -- How have they been so good? What's next for Florida State in ACC play? Apr 24, 2023
    Show notes

Another two weeks brought two more ACC series wins for the dominant Florida State Seminoles as they remain the class of the conference, ending each of those series with a run-rule victory.

A 2-of-3 weekend against Virginia in Tallahassee paired with a sweep of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg has the Florida State softball team at 16-2 in ACC play as they’ve consistently overwhelmed their conference foes. With two weeks remaining before the ACC Tournament, the Noles are two losses up on the rest of their conference as they chase the regular season crown.

Their play in this run has them set up as a clear top-8 team in the RPI and well on their way to hosting an NCAA Regional next month.

So how have they been able to be so consistently overwhelming?

This week, the Seminole Softball Wrap podcast, hosted by Gwyn Rhodes and Brian Pellerin, tries to answer just that and much more as they recap the last two weeks of softball and look ahead to the eight games separating them from the end of the regular season.

FSU football: What did we learn from Florida State Seminole spring camp, spring game? Apr 18, 2023
    Show notes

With Saturday’s Garnet and Gold Spring Showcase and Monday’s practice in the rearview mirror, the Florida State Seminoles have wrapped up their spring season and find themselves looking every part of the top-ten team they're expected to be 138 days from now when they open their 2023 campaign.

This week, the Seminole Wrap crew — Brian Pellerin, Jon Marchant and Max Escarpio — share their thoughts from Saturday’s intrasquad scrimmage, the growth they’ve seen out of some position groups and where the team could still improve heading into another transfer portal window.

Plus they discuss Mike Norvell and the staff’s recent success in the high school recruiting landscape, how that bolsters the program and what work is still left to get back to where Florida State wants to be.

All that along with a way-too-early look at the top quarterbacks in the nation and where Jordan Travis fits into that equation.

You can catch the latest edition of the Seminole Wrap on the Everything Noles podcast channel, presented by the Fans First Sports Network network.

FSU softball sweeps Clemson, dominating ACC: Breaking down the Seminoles at 32-7 Apr 10, 2023
    Show notes

Another two weeks of the Florida State softball season have passed and the Noles (32-7, 11-1 ACC) are looking as strong as ever.

After dismantling Georgia Tech the week prior in Tallahassee, Florida State claimed their first-ever top-5 road series victory with a sweep of No. 4 Clemson, including an 11-1 combined score across Thursday’s doubleheader games.

The Seminoles now sit atop the Atlantic Coast Conference standings ahead of the Tigers.

On this week’s Seminole Softball Wrap episode, Gwyn Rhodes and Brian Pellerin take a look at the impressive two-week run from the Noles as they continue to find new ways to flex their depth in wins and look forward to the two weeks ahead.

    Plus they take your questions:

    • Could we see a letdown off this big-win weekend?
    • Do they expect to see more Makenna Reid starts going forward after her recent impressive performance in the role?
    • And who left on the schedule poses the biggest threat to the ACC crown?

FSU football: Mike Norvell talks Seminoles spring practice inside Doak Campbell Stadium Apr 07, 2023
    Show notes

Florida State football switched things up for its Thursday, April 6 practice, opting for a session inside Doak Campbell Stadium rather than the Albert J. Dunlap Athletic Training Facility.

The environmental change provided an opportunity for the team to add situational goal line work to its agenda for the day, leading to reps that head coach Mike Norvell was complimentary of following practice.

“We went close to 15 goal line play, all back-to-back...in today’s age it’s really hard to rep a ton of that situation,” he said. “Sometimes you just got to put the ball down and go get it. I thought there was some really, really good plays, defense ended up winning the situation there today. It was impressive to see some of the fights, some of the stops that they had.”

“[Situations like] red zone, overtime, working on coming off the goal line for the offense, putting them in some challenging situations. I like the work.”

FSU will have the rest of the week off, with next week serving as the lead-up to the annual Spring Showcase.

Plus a discussion on a new No. 2 wide receiver potentially emerging from the group.

Max also shares updates from the scouts he spoke to at Florida State’s pro day. Which teams seemed the most interested in bringing in Jammie Robinson to sure up their secondary and when could the former FSU safety hear his name called on draft day later this month?
