    Everything is Fine

Everything is Fine is a series for women on life over 40. Hosted by former Lucky magazine founding editor Kim France and author and editor Jennifer Romolini, each episode digs deep into the identity shift that comes with navigating this alternately weird and liberating stage of life. A chat-show with themed episodes and interview guests from the media and entertainment worlds, we tackle our fears, our health, our careers, self-care, and how to negotiate being called “middle-aged” when you feel anything but.

Bite the Hand That Fed You Oct 17, 2022
    Show notes

What does it mean to really take your career into your own hands? Our guest today is Laura Mayer. Laura is an audio producer and former podcast executive who has helped create and launch many beloved podcasts, including The Dream and The Just Enough Family. After several toxic, high-burnout jobs; Laura's now hosting her own podcast called Shameless Acquisition Target, a wild ride into the pitfalls of her industry, with stops in self-advocacy, owning one's competence and ambition, shameless self-promotion, and boldly setting one's career in the direction you want, even if it means biting the hand that once fed you.

We also talk about Shark Tank! And weight lifting! And the business of podcasts! Plus: SHOULD WE PUT 'EVERYTHING IS FINE' ON THE MARKET?
