[put together by Charles Sutton] Using Jazzy Jeff's PLAYLIST as an example, the goal is to bring a bunch of "hip-hop" musicians together to collaborate on a mixtape [On Friday Jan 26th - Jan 27th] about issues, opportunities, and aspirations of Evansville - especially as it relates to creativity, culture, arts, music, poor areas, gentrification, places such as PG. Then on Saturday [Feb 3rd] perform together at a show, at PG.

adam - Exhibit of Dimensional Art - St. Meinrad Saint Meinrad Archabbey Library Gallery, St. Meinrad, IN, is hosting an exhibit of two-dimensional and three-dimensional works by Ferdinand, IN, artist Curtis Uebelhor. The show will run from January 10 through February 20.
Uebelhor works with found or discarded objects or surplus bits and pieces to furnish wry commentary on social issues such as education or the environment. The carefully selected items are gathered slowly until the perfect objects are found to express the idea. He incorporates humor into his work as a way to involve the viewer.

Serving as clinicians will be Mr. Ron Tucker, member of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra and former principal bassoonist of the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra; Dr. Mary Stuckemeyer, professional free-lance bassoonist; and Dr. Edwin Lacy, UE instructor of bassoon and principal bassoonist of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra.
Events will include a recital by the clinicians, masterclass sessions, a workshop on bassoon fundamentals, and a bassoon ensemble session.
