    Evan & Tiki

Evan & Tiki brings balance, brains and edge to New York sports talk. Evan Roberts’ fan-first intensity pairs with Tiki Barber’s perspective from inside the game to create debate that’s informed, passionate and rarely predictable. Whether it’s Giants and Jets analysis, Yankees and Mets arguments, or Knicks, Nets and league-wide storylines, the conversation goes deeper than hot takes. Throw in Shaun Morash, who stirs the pot with unfiltered opinions and the raw pulse of the fanbase, and you have Evan & Tiki, a show where New York sports get talked through — not talked over.

Geno Smith’s Three Picks Trigger Jets Alarm Bells Aug 11, 2026
    Show notes

Geno Smith throws three interceptions in the Jets’ first joint practice against Tampa Bay, immediately igniting fears that his turnover problems could wreck New York’s season. Shaun Morash and Tiki Barber question Smith’s decision-making and warn that Aaron Glenn’s “promised land” declaration could become one of the most mocked quotes in Jets history if the quarterback struggles. Shaun Morash is in for Evan Roberts alongside Tiki Barber.

Jets Must Stop Chasing Average Quarterbacks Aug 11, 2026
    Show notes

Patrick Mahomes is somehow becoming underrated despite everything he has accomplished. Shaun Morash is in for Evan Roberts alongside Tiki Barber, and they push back on the idea that Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson should automatically rank ahead of Mahomes, with Shaun arguing that Mahomes still has a chance to become the best quarterback he has ever seen. The conversation expands into how NFL teams actually win championships, why elite quarterbacks or historic defenses usually define Super Bowl teams, and why the Jets eventually need to draft their long-term answer instead of settling for temporary fixes. Plus, Eli Manning’s legacy gets reconsidered, the Bears emerge as a surprise Super Bowl pick, and Kodai Senga’s move to high-leverage relief gives the surging Mets a potentially intriguing weapon.

Giants Must Beat the Cowboys in Week 1 Aug 11, 2026
    Show notes

John Harbaugh’s demanding training camp has Shaun Morash raising his expectations for the Giants, including a new belief that they should be ready to beat the Cowboys in Week 1. Shaun is in for Evan Roberts alongside Tiki Barber, who explains how a physical camp can toughen players, build confidence, and give a team the mental edge it has been missing. The Giants still have questions, but Harbaugh’s professionalism and intensity have changed the feeling around the team.

Monday Full Show: Yankees Find Hope, Giants Gain an Edge, Aaron Glenn on the Hot Seat Aug 10, 2026
    Show notes

George Lombard Jr. has given the Yankees something their lifeless offense desperately needed: energy, confidence and a potential new table setter. Shaun Morash is in for Evan Roberts alongside Tiki Barber, and Shaun argues the rookie should immediately move to the top of the lineup while Tiki warns that the Yankees remain a .500 team without Aaron Judge. They debate whether dominant outings from Gerrit Cole, Max Fried and Cam Schlittler can carry a lineup that still cannot consistently score, plus the possibility of a brutal Wild Card matchup with the Red Sox and whether Jazz Chisholm has played himself out of guaranteed everyday at-bats. The Giants also get a major NFC East opening after Laremy Tunsil’s injury weakens Washington’s offensive line. Tiki believes the Giants now have an edge over the Commanders, while Shaun says those division games have become must-wins for a team trying to stay relevant deep into the season.

Hour 1: George Lombard Jr. Could Save the Yankees’ Lineup Aug 10, 2026
    Show notes

The Yankees finally have the dominant starting pitching they’ve been missing, but their lifeless offense threatens to waste it. Shaun Morash is in for Evan Roberts alongside Tiki Barber, and Shaun sees reasons for optimism after the Yankees took two of three from Atlanta, especially with George Lombard Jr. injecting energy, defense and confidence into the lineup. Tiki remains far more concerned about a team that has played .500 baseball without Aaron Judge and still struggles to score. The debate turns to whether Lombard should already be hitting leadoff, how much patience Aaron Boone should have with Jazz Chisholm and Trent Grisham, and whether the Yankees can survive a potential Wild Card showdown with the surging Red Sox. Even with Judge and Cody Bellinger potentially returning, the Yankees may need their pitching to carry them in October.

Hour 2: Giants Get Huge NFC East Break After Tunsil Injury Aug 10, 2026
    Show notes

Laremy Tunsil’s devastating injury could completely shift the Giants’ outlook against Washington. Shaun Morash is in for Evan Roberts alongside Tiki Barber, and they believe New York now has a legitimate edge over the Commanders, whose shaky offensive line could leave Jayden Daniels vulnerable. Tiki even agrees Dan Quinn could be closer to losing his job than returning Washington to the playoffs. The Giants optimism comes with one major concern: how Matt Nagy handles Jaxson Dart. Tiki expects a physical, run-heavy offense designed to protect the young quarterback, while Shaun worries Nagy could force his system instead of leaning into Dart’s strengths. They also debate the Giants’ playoff ceiling, Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s failed 50-50 expectations, the Yankees’ stagnant offense and an overworked bullpen.
