Julie Potiker is a mindfulness expert who helps others bring more peace and wellness into their lives through her Mindful Methods for Life program offerings. Her new book is “SNAP! From Chaos to Calm.”
A former attorney, Julie is a Certified Mindful Self-Compassion teacher and founder of the Balanced Mind Meditation Center in La Jolla, California. She began her in-depth study of mindfulness after graduating from the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program at the University of California, San Diego. She was trained by Kristin Neff, Christopher Germer, and UCSD as a Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher. She went on to study with Rick Hanson, becoming a graduate of his Positive Neuroplasticity Training Professional Course. Julie also completed Brené Brown’s Living Brave Semester.
Julie’s first book, “Life Falls Apart, but You Don’t Have To: Mindful Methods for Staying Calm in the Midst of Chaos,” is now available on audiobook. Alexandra Boiger is a New York Times bestselling children’s book illustrator. She grew up in Munich, Germany, and studied graphic design at the Fachhochschule Augsburg. A career in feature animation at Warner Brothers and Dreamworks first brought her to the UK and finally to the US. Visual storytelling, exploring emotions, psychology, and history have always been at the core of Alexandra’s work.
Many of the books she worked on focus on social justice and breaking down stereotypes, including the She Persisted books by Chelsea Clinton. Several of her titles have been translated into different languages. She Persisted, The Musical was the first to be translated to stage.
Alexandra’s work has participated at various exhibitions in the US and Japan. Her latest book, Lola’s Heart, which she also wrote, is a wordless picture book about the power of love and offers an opportunity to discuss difficult emotions such as grief, loss, and fear of failure. Alexandra lives in Northern California with her husband and daughter.

Jennifer Sanders is a trauma informed coach who specializes in how past trauma impacts a person’s physical, mental and spiritual well being. Jennifer has extensive grief training and is a certified grief support specialist. She is also an accredited death doula.
While working as an administrator in an assisted living facility during the Covid pandemic, Jennifer became acutely aware of the lack of support services and grief training for our healthcare workers. The level of grief and trauma they face every day is often seen as just part of the job. Jennifer is passionate about instituting grief training for health care professionals. Her goal is to help challenge and shift the societal expectations of how to deal with bereavement and loss.
Jennifer utilizes a beautiful blend of compassion, insight and humor to help her clients navigate death, grief and loss. She helps identify how trauma can shape a person’s life and emotions while providing a foundation to foster deep healing through developing strategies and exercises that empower you on your healing journey.
